[NTG-context] acro bat 7
Hi Willy, [cc to context list] Long ago we mailed about acrobat messing up colors when using transparencies. Well, it looks like it happens again. When transparencies are used, all colors are affected (become darker). In previous versions, the pag ecache was the troublemaker, dunno what causes it now, since i cannot influence the cache. Can you test this on your machine as well? Hello, Taco Hoekwater wrote: This is a link that allows you to apply for Adobe's 'beta program'. The link worked for me, perhaps because the website recognized my Linux machine correctly? Well, I found it also after I sent the email (I was looking too low). Whether or not you actually get to test the Reader 7 is decided by somebody at Adobe (Q.A. department, probably). The good news is that there is apparently going to be a Reader 7 for Unix released, the bad news is that you can't get at it right now. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Well, I think one can register again. He also sent his log file, the last line of which reads: system : macros of module letter loaded (C:\texmf\tex\plain\base\letter.tex ! Undefined control sequence. l.13 \nopagenumbers ? I have been experimenting a few days with the letter module, exactly as described in xcorrespondence, with the use of an xml database. Unfortunately I cannot get it right either. My log file shows a number of errors, the first being the same as in Wolfgang's. The error seems to be not a missing file, since al files are found, but rather something else. [NTG-context] \dostopfloattext problem...
Hi Hans, I've found the small problem (but I did not trace it fully, so the sugesstions could be false...) -- if one uses \startfiguretext...\stopfiguretext and the figure oversizes criterium defined in \setupfloat[figure][criterium=...] the float placement mechanism probably goes besides \sometextfloat macro so \dostopfloattext macro used in \stopfiguretext stays undefined and error appears. I've solved this with omitting criterium or with self-defining empty \dostopfloattext. [NTG-context] Re: m-letter (addressee)
Dear friends, The next thing I would like to find out about the m-letter is how to determine the position of the addressee. I intend to use the letters in a regular convert with a window. For the position the addressee is placed (upper left corner) standard converts are hard to come by. The window sizes of course differ, but the one I would like to use is: 10 cm x 3 cm distance from upper page edge 8,8cm distance from right page edge 1,5 cm distance from left page edge 9,5cm Help is much appreciated. [NTG-context] XML question regarding special characters
Hi! I'm trying to design a universal markup that will be easy to convert both to PDF and HTML. I've come to code and equations. I don't want to use MathML and I want to output (and use in my documents!) verbatim TeX code of equations to HTML. What worries me is the following: I want to be able to write and run through Context XML processing: formula label=fm:whatever x^{2} y /formula or, for typesetting computer programs: code if((xy) = 3) { do_something(); } /code (this would translate to \starttyping\stoptyping) How do I define XML environments that can handle XML special characters (, etc., I don't know all of them..) gracefully? (i.e. so that I don't have to type code if((xamp;y) gt;= 3) /code and similar for formulas) Thanks! ___ ntg-context mailing list ntg-context@ntg.nl http://www.ntg.nl/mailman/listinfo/ntg-context
