no issues here.

you are only seeing it on a few of your users iPhones?
are they using ATT data, or your internal wifi, or wifi outside you
office.  we had an issue where iPhones were not working with our
internal proxy, going back to only 3g fixed it.

also verify time zones on the iPhone.

My 3gs had a tendency to stall on WiFi, flipping it on and off seemed to
resolve most of those issues.  Supposedly certain updates were supposed to
resolve that, but I never noticed an improvement...

I've had similar problems with my 3gs.  Twice I've had to set network to 
default and re-build.
As to the OP, I have A T  T and haven't any problems with email using 
Activesync.

If I recall correctly that GPO didn’t show up until SP1 as I remember it being 
a thorn in my side when I did my first deployment of Windows 7 not long after 
it was released.

Use the Disable Known Folders GPO.  User Config/Admin Temp/Windows 
Comp/Windows Explorer and specify the value as FOLDERID_CommonDocuments.

After further research and testing with the users iPhone it is actually an 
error with Gmail (imap.gmail.com is not responding).  It then stops the flow of 
all e-mail.

Going to perform some research but may just remove the Gmail account and 
recreate.

My 3gs had a tendency to stall on WiFi, flipping it on and off seemed to 
resolve most of those issues.  Supposedly certain updates were supposed to 
resolve that, but I never noticed an improvement...
