It did, thanks. Someone rebooted the SQL cluster just before I came in this
morning so I was swamped with "unable to connect to datastore" messages, but
it was a red herring, thankfully!

Excellent, thanks for the confirmation guys. I thought as much but as I am
the new guy I thought it best to double-check.

Cheers,

The DSN wants to know the name of the SQL Server, the name of the database
and the login creds. It doesn't, or shouldn't, care about which SQL
Instance or Partition the data store is located.

As long as nothing changes from a DSN perspective then you should be fine
(Do I hear an echo in here?).

The DSN wants to know the name of the SQL Server, the name of the database
and the login creds. It doesn't, or shouldn't, care about which SQL
Instance or Partition the data store is located.

I could just wait for Webster to answer but:

As long as nothing changes from the DSN-perspective on the PS servers, you
should be fine.

Moving Citrix MPS 4 IMA database to different partition

2010-10-18 Thread James Rankin
Are there any gotchas involved in moving a Citrix PS4 IMA database from one
partition to another on the same SQL Server? I've seen all the articles
relating to moving to a new SQL server, but there doesn't seem to be
anything (that my man-flu-ridden Google-fu can find) concerning simply
moving the database between partitions. Any pointers are gratefully
received, cheers,
