Re: OT Doid 3 and Droid Bionic question

2011-09-21 Thread Erik Goldoff
I have the HTC EVO ( Sprint ) and for virtual keyboards I really like
Swype. But to be honest, I like even more the speech to text capability,
where I can literally dictate a message into the SMS text app, or the email
apps. Accuracy is very good, doesn't usually require any more correction
than the spelling and autocorrect mistakes from the keyboard.
Hopefully your version of Android has this feature too ???

I use the Droid Incredible. I found an App called 'Hacker's Keyboard' and it
gives you more keys, like arrow/directional keys. I have it installed on
both my phone and tablet. I tried Swype and really didn't like it. But,
that's just me.

RE: OT Doid 3 and Droid Bionic question

2011-09-21 Thread Kennedy, Jim
Check out the extended battery. It doesn't add much bulk or weight and it fits
most of the cases. I am going to bed at night with about a 40 percent charge
still remaining. They were on sale for 25 bucks during the rollout. Dunno if
they still are or not.

But the Bionic is a pleasure to use, responsive and smooth in every way.
There's nothing about it I don't like as long as I have a charger not too far
away.

2011-09-20 Thread Sean Rector
I definitely recommend the Bionic over the 3 - check the ROM Developers'
comments at http://www.rootzwiki.com. Battery life is incredible for a
3g phone, much less a 4g phone. The developers have root (attained
before it hit the streets), are working on ClockworkMod Recovery, and
custom ROM's are already being developed.
