You can also hook up a computer that has a video output of some sort (HDMI,video card etc...) to a DVD burner device and simply press record when the webinar starts. Then you can either copy the DVD in DVD stacker device and/or use a program like Correll ULEAD video editing to pul the the video from the DVD and convert it to other file formats. Camtasia - which isn't free but does like a gazillion things. (Note: there is a CamStudio which is free, but has much less feature content) I also use Debut Video Capture Software of which there is a free version. We were using Gensys but ran into too many problems so we switched to Live Meeting. So far Live Meeting has been working great. With Live meeting you have the option to have the recording stored on Microsoft's server or locally. SnagIt is able to capture images and such from the desktop. It will create video as well but I've never tried using it to copy a video.
