Re: [nysbirds-l] Spoonbill updates csh?
I checked St. John’s, Cold Spring Harbor park, and the public dock across from the Harbor Mist between 11:30 and 12:00 today and came up empty. I checked again on my way out of town around 6:30 and again, no Spoonbill. There were many more birds feeding at 6:30 in the mudflats across from the hatchery. It was low tide. -Chris Sent from my iPod > On Aug 7, 2021, at 12:03 PM, Jennifer Kepler wrote: > > Any spoonbill sightings in cold spring harbor today? > Jen Kepler > -- > NYSbirds-L List Info: > Welcome and Basics > Rules and Information > Subscribe, Configuration and Leave > Archives: > The Mail Archive > Surfbirds > ABA > Please submit your observations to eBird! > -- -- NYSbirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsWELCOME.htm http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsRULES.htm http://www.NortheastBirding.com/NYSbirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/nysbirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/NYSBirds-L 3) http://birding.aba.org/maillist/NY01 Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --

[nysbirds-l] All 6 Phalaropes continue on the East Pond this AM.
The 6 Phalaropes from Thursday continue this AM on the East Pond at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Queens Co. 2 Wilson’s Phalaropes continue on the southend with another right now, just south of Dead Man’s Cove on the northend. 2 Red-necked Phalaropes was just north of the Raunt on the East side and another I am observing right now at Dead Man’s Cove on the northend. 2 Continuing juvenile Peregrines are shaking things up along with increased foot traffic on the pond so patience is required if you are trying for the Phalaropes.
