Subject: [integration]Committers promotion for Integration Project: Eric Debeau

Dear Integration Committers,

I would like to propose to promote: Eric Debeau as the committer for
Integration project.

Eric has the expertise and background in integration; and he has made a lot of
contributions in Integration project at Amsterdam release, mainly on:

1. Integration documentation

2. Integration testing at Orange open lab.

3. Etc.

Git Commits: 62
Gerrit changesets: 50
Mailing Lists: 57
Jira: 21
(The above data is from ONAP Bitergia)

And he will continue contributing to documentation, ONAP maturity testing, ONAP
“light” version, Benchmark project, etc.

Before I report this back to ONAP TSC / infrastructure coordinator, I would
like to do an internal vote among all current Integration committers, which are
on the “To” list:

1. If you agree to promote Eric as committer of Integration project,
please reply “+1”

2. If you have no opinion, please reply “0”

3. If you disagree to promote Eric as committer of Integration project,
please reply “-1”

Please response before 6:00PM PST, 1/29/2018 (next Monday).

Helen Chen

Hi Huabing,

In your case the report will be for msb project.

So your project home page URL will be

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Microservices+Bus+Project

And your gerrit repo URL will be

https://gerrit.onap.org/r/msb/

Currently in my testing linux foundation does not allow us to clone under
project level. We will have to talk to CII badging to see if the URL needs to
be useable or is it only for reference. If it has to be usable link then we
will have to ask Linux foundation to let us clone a full project instead of a
repo.

Hope this helps.

Arul

Hi Tony, Steve,

Thanks for the explanation, it really helped.

One more question, do you happend to know how could I submit all the repos
together if I want to apply at project level?

The below screenshot show that only one repo can be submitted per project. I
tried to contact Core Infrastructure Initiative directly to get the answer, but
I can't find their contact information.

As PTL, it’s your choice. You can do a single report for your entire project,
or you can file a separate report for each repo. If your repos use different
languages or different testing procedures, you probably would find it easier
to do it per-repo.

If you do file one report for the entire project, then you need to answer each
Met/Not Met question based on the lowest-common denominator answer: if any of
the repos don’t meet the requirement, you cannot select Met. (Use the text box
to keep track of your reasons for picking any particular answer.)

Hi Arul and Seve,

It's a common situation that an ONAP project has multiple repos. Is it possible
to submit the rpos as a whole as one project when applying for CII Badging? Or
I have to submit one by one?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks to Arul and team for putting this together.

We had one clarification today in the security subcommittee due to that it is
discussed whether to do the badging at the project level of the program level.

· In general it is fine (expected) to do this at the project level.

· However, a project may decide for different reasons to perform the
badging per repo or set of repos; if this made sense.

· This would imply from a S3P tracking perspective

§ A project has passed if it and it its dependencies has passed.

§ Note: sub-projects are responsible for doing their own badging process.

§ For %complete the least complete value is the %complete of the project

BR,

Steve

Hi Everyone,

If you have seen an email with almost the same subject ignore that, I had some
issues posting the first email so I am re-sending it again. Both emails have
the same content

For getting ONAP carrier ready one of the requirements is that 70% of its
projects needs to undergo a process called CII badging.

In your case the report will be for msb project.
So your project home page URL will be
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Microservices+Bus+Project

And your gerrit repo URL will be
https://gerrit.onap.org/r/msb/

Currently in my testing linux foundation does not allow us to clone under
project level. We will have to talk to CII badging to see if the URL needs to
be useable or is it only for reference. If it has to be usable link then we
will have to ask Linux foundation to let us clone a full project instead of a
repo.
Hope this helps.
Regards

Hi Everyone,
If you have seen an email with almost the same subject ignore that, I had some
issues posting the first email so I am re-sending it again. Both emails have
the same content
For getting ONAP carrier ready one of the requirements is that 70% of its
projects needs to undergo a process called CII badging.
CII badging is a simple process(and takes less than a week normally) of
answering some questions about the project. And it is better if you start it
sooner than later.
And the security subcommittee has come up with a wiki page with

  1. More information about the CII
  2. Sample tools
  3. Sample answers to all the questions that you will need to answer to get
your app badged.
The current ask is that 70% of the project should be in passing level, if you
want to go higher than that you can find the sample answers for the Silver and
gold level as well, they are not complete yet but if you find answers then add
them to the page.
Link: https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/CII+Badging+Program
Let us know if you have any more questions or suggestions.
Regards
Arul

[onap-discuss] Using VF-C

2018-01-29 Thread Lars-Erik Helander
I would like to try out the VF-C part ONAP and have a few questions:

1) are there any ready made packages with TOSCA based descriptors available
somewhere
2) do you have to create the required packages using SDC or could you use
externally created packages
3) if the answer to 2) is YES => what is the onboarding procedure for
externally created packages?

I have deployed ONAP using OOM.

Regarding LCM, should EMS then, be introduced as S-VNFM under VF-C ? If so,
are there any specs / docs ?

[onap-discuss] Clamp error connecting to SDC

2018-01-29 Thread Elie Dit Cosaque, David (Nokia - US/Irving)
Hello All,

We are trying to run the vFW demo with close loop. However when accessing the
CLAMP designer, we see a forbidden error when CLAMP is trying to connect to SDC
(to get the templates?). After some investigations it appears that CLAMP might
be using an invalid authorization. Clamp is using "Basic dGVzdDoxMjM0NTY="
which leads to a forbidden (403) error for URL:
http://sdc.api.simpledemo.onap.org:8080/sdc/v1/catalog/services. Using "Basic
dmlkOktwOGJKNFNYc3pNMFdYbGhhazNlSGxjc2UyZ0F3ODR2YW9HR21KdlV5MlU=" in postman is
successful.
Has anyone seen this error? How can we correct it?

Re: [onap-discuss] ONS Registration Discount for active developers and leadership

2018-01-29 Thread Stephen Terrill
Hi Phil,

Thanks for looking into this and coming back with a proposal for how to
maximise developer and active contributor participation.

One question I had was in the case of the security sub-committee as the work is
captured in the wiki pages, not tracked via gerrit, can we consider a pallallel
statement such as Contributed to sub-committee wiki in the last 6 months. Its
not so hard to track via the version history. The security sub-committee wikis
are grouped together.

Best Regards,

Steve.

Subject: [onap-discuss] ONS Registration Discount for active developers and
leadership

Hello ONAP community:

Active developers and project leadership are strongly encouraged to participate
in the ONS event. Monday and Tuesday will be exceptionally valuable and the
rest of the week can be used to either learn about something new going on in
the industry and/or continue the discussions and work that are started on
Monday and Tuesday.

To facilitate as much developer participation as possible, we have arranged for
a 50% (ie $600 for the early-bird registration) discount to individuals meeting
any one of the following criteria:

- You are an active contributor to ONAP with a gerrit ID and have submitted a
patch within the last 6 months...and prior to receiving this email.

- You are an active committer and have reviewed a code contribution within the
past 6 months and prior to receiving this email.

- You are a current TSC member

- You are a current PTL

- You are a Subcommittee Chairperson

- You are the ONAP Release Manager.

If you satisfy one of the criteria above, please do the following to register
for ONS

  *   Please click
here
 to register for the conference
  *   Select "Attendee Registration"
  * Enter the discount code: ONSDVE18
My team will be reviewing everyone that uses this code, so please don't use it
if you don't qualify. We will void any registration made that does not meet
the criteria.

Best regards and I look forward to seeing everyone at ONS,

Phil.

It might be just that she did not log in. I have responded to a similar
question and also it is there in the wiki I think. I will make that section
bold.

Hi Arul,

When I got to https://bestpractices.coreinfrastructure.org/projects/new and try
to create a new project. I got an error like:

[cid:image001.png@01D398DD.080647A0]

I login the https://bestpractices.coreinfrastructure.org/ with my github
account. Do you know anybody could help with this?

Thanks,

LiZi

Hi Huabing,
In your case the report will be for msb project.

Re: [onap-discuss] DCAE: RecoverableError: Failed to find: platform_dockerhost

2018-01-29 Thread Kranthi Guttikonda
It’s a dependency. So basically, whenever DCAE boot container created a new VM,
it’s going to contact the DNS designate to create a new DNS record in the zone.
TCA and holmes run on top of a VM called platform_dockerhost. Cloudify will
install necessary packages as part of VM cloud-init scripts. So, this error
will appear until the VM is up and packages are installed. After that this
should disappear

Thanks Daniel,

This helped us greatly we reduced the time from 7 minutes to 1 minute. Is there
a bulkdelete?

I already quickly looked into AAIWorkloadEventProcessor.java class did not see
anything but wanted to check with you.

Hi AAI team,

Is a way to put a list of objects in AAI with a single call? For example: We
are adding hundreds of l-interfaces and doing it one after the other is very
slow (~7 minutes for 1500 l-interfaces).

network/pnfs/pnf/PNF-NAME/lag-interfaces/lag-interface/Bundle-Ether11/l-interfaces

If the operation described above exist for any other object can you please
point us to the implementation.

Thanks

Hi Yan,

I have few follow-up questions based on your reply to Kedar.

* When you term Vendor can develop their own EMS driver, what would be
the interface mechanism between VF-C and EMS driver ? Or in other words, how
does VF-C knows the presence of this EMS driver ?

[A] There is no direct interface between EMS driver and VF-C. As I
explained in the previous email , EMS driver as a microservice, it directly
interacted with EMS and DACE VES collector.

For all EMS, they should be registered as external system In ESR Portal. And
we can get their information from A&AI.

* How & when does VF-C instructs this EMS driver to start streaming VES
data to DCAE VES collector ?

[A] When EMS driver starts, it will detect the registered EMS
information from A&AI. When find registered EMS, it will create connection and
collect the data from EMS , when received data , it will translate data to VES
format and then report to DCAE VES collector.

* Does every EMS has to mandatorily provide data in VES format only ?

[A] No, they can have their own data format, but if they want report data to
DCAE and do some analysis, they should do the data format conversion.

* Does the functionalities of EMS includes only FCAPS & VES data
translation only ? What if EMS wants to also do LCM of a VNF ?

[A] In VoLTE use case in Amsterdam release, we only use EMS to collect FCAPS
data. VNFM is responsible for VNF LCM

* Does vendor NMS also takes the same flow as EMS ?

   [A] Currently only integrated ems

主题: [onap-discuss] [vf-c] Query regarding EMS Driver

Hi,

I have couple of doubts on EMS driver in VF-C.

1. Is the EMS driver generic to integrate with any external vendor EMS ?

[A] No, it’s not generic EMS driver. Vendor can implement their own EMS driver
to integrate their EMS.

2. Which EMS is used to test this driver for Amsterdam release ?

[A] In VoLTE closed-loop scenario of healing in Amsterdam release, this
EMS driver was used to collect FCAPS data from ZTE EMS.

3. What mechanism this driver currently support to integrate itself with
EMS ?

[A] This driver functions include collecting FCAPS data from EMS,
converting data format to VES, reporting VES data to DCAE VES collector.

4. If the answer of # 1 is no, is there any document to develop driver
for a vendor EMS ?

[A] No document, as I mentioned above, vendor can implement their own
EMS driver to integrate their EMS.

Appreciate reply on these ! Thank you.

KeDar

Re: [onap-discuss] [E] 答复: [vf-c] Query regarding EMS Driver

2018-01-29 Thread Kumar Skand Priya, Viswanath V via onap-discuss
Hi Yan,

I have few follow-up questions based on your reply to Kedar.

   - When you term Vendor can develop their own EMS driver, what would be
the interface mechanism between VF-C and EMS driver ? Or in other words,
how does VF-C knows the presence of this EMS driver ?
   - How & when does VF-C instructs this EMS driver to start streaming VES
data to DCAE VES collector ?
   - Does every EMS has to mandatorily provide data in VES format only ?
   - Does the functionalities of EMS includes only FCAPS & VES data
translation only ? What if EMS wants to also do LCM of a VNF ?
   - Does vendor NMS also takes the same flow as EMS ?

Viswa

[onap-discuss] High number of old pending commits

2018-01-29 Thread Gildas Lanilis
Hi All,

As discussed during the PTL meeting this am, there is currently a high volume
of commits that have been pending for months.
The list is available here.

I think that by respect to those who have made a contribution to the ONAP code,
we should provide them some feedback, either by reviewing and commenting the
work, abandon the work (It may very well not be useful anymore) or by merging
the code into Master.
I understand there are some commits for which the discussion goes back and
forth. That is a good sign of maturity, however this should not take months.

Thanks all for your support in spending a bit of time to review this list.

Thanks,
Gildas

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] Problem with install ONAP on vagrant

2018-01-29 Thread Morales, Victor
Hey Yang,

Regarding the first error, usually I get the same error when I have leftovers
from previous executions and most of the times they are solved when $ vagrant
destroy command is executed [1]. The second execution printed a message about
building ONAP Docker images from source code and this building process has not
implemented yet [2], we have collected most of the build instructions in
separated files and it’s necessary to call all these get_*_images functions
from there. Anyway, there is a way to control the workflow of the vagrant-onap
tool thru persistent configuration values or parameters [3], Shashank made a
great job explaining these concepts with examples [4]. So, for OOM you have to
choose the following values in etc/settings.yaml file:

build_image: "False"
skip_install: "False"

At this point you should be able to access to the Rancher and Kubernetes
Dashboards using their port forwarded ports[5], but nothing has been deployed
there yet given the default configuration values.

Regards/Saludos
Victor Morales

PS: You can also control the verbosity level of the execution thru the “debug”
value in the settings file.

Subject: RE: [onap-discuss] [integration] Problem with install ONAP on vagrant

Hi Morales,

Thanks a lot for your advice.

I’ve tried to install OOM instead of all-in-one using vagrant, but still had
some problems while installing OOM.

At the first time, I executed following steps, and the message “Interface
adapter number is already in use” was showed at the end. Please see the
attached file “vagrant_libvirt.out” for more detail.

The environment : Ubuntu 16.04.4 with 16 processor and 64 G RAM

   The steps:

$ sudo apt-get install git
$ git clone https://git.onap.org/integration
$ wget -q https://releases.hashicorp.com/vagrant/2.0.1/vagrant_2.0.1_x86_64.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i vagrant_2.0.1_x86_64.deb
$ cd integration/bootstrap/vagrant-onap
$ ./tools/setup_libvirt.sh
$ sudo usermod -a -G libvirtd $USER
$ echo "export VAGRANT_DEFAULT_PROVIDER=libvirt" >> ~/.profile
$ su - $USER
$./tools/run.sh oom

I tried to fix it with executing following steps :

$ mkdir ~/tmp
$ cd tmp
$ git clone https://github.com/vagrant-libvirt/vagrant-libvirt
$ cd vagrant-libvirt/
$ modify the file “vagrant-libvirt.gemspec” :
   - gem.add_runtime_dependency 'nokogiri', '~> 1.6.0'
 + gem.add_runtime_dependency 'nokogiri', '~> 1.7.1'
$ /opt/vagrant/embedded/bin/gem build vagrant-libvirt.gemspec
$ vagrant plugin install ~/tmp/vagrant-libvirt/vagrant-libvirt-0.0.40.gem

And then re-run “./tools/run.sh oom”. Please see the attached file
“vagrant_libvirt-2.out” for more detail.

It seemed like working well, although the following message came out all the
time.

The message is
“/home/yanghc/.vagrant.d/gems/2.4.2/gems/nokogiri-1.6.8.1/lib/nokogiri/xml/document.rb:44:
 warning: constant ::Fixnum is deprecated”

But after the installation, I couldn’t find the portal instance. Did I miss
any steps ?

BTW, it would be more friendly if adding following two steps at the end of
setup_libvirt.sh.

sudo usermod -a -G libvirtd $USER
echo "export VAGRANT_DEFAULT_PROVIDER=libvirt" >> ~/.profile

Best regards,
H.C. Yang

Hi Yang,

It looks like the * _wait_for_sdc* method (line 141026 of your log) of lib/aai
script is not able to reach the SDC endpoint. I recently updated that script
[1] but I’m still having my doubts about the install_aai method[2] which keep
waiting for complete the execution of deploy_vm2.sh[3] and deploy_vm1[4]
scripts. OTOH, as you noticed I haven’t tested the All-in-One configuration in
a while, if you want to test all ONAP services I recommend to use the OOM
option available in master[5]

$ ./tools/run.sh oom

That’s require more hardware (16 vCPUs and 64 GB RAM)[6] therefore I recommend
to use libvirt vagrant provider instead of virtualbox[7].

Re: [onap-discuss] Demo update-vfw policy script when running without closed loop

2018-01-29 Thread Ramanarayanan, Karthick
Hi Marco,

The policy push works now with your workaround to add (?h=amsterdam) in the
push policy script with a complete ONAP restart.

Policies are pushed successfully for the packetgen vnf.

Then after an appc put to network topology to configure packetgen interface
which succeeds,

I still don't see the appc mount points show up in appc/opendaylight
interface.

The packetgen vnf is up and running.

  OOM policy is 1.1.1.

No dcae present as mentioned earlier.

Everything else has gone fine except the appc mount.

Appc pod logs don't reveal anything.

  What am I missing?

Subject: [**EXTERNAL**] Re: [onap-discuss] Demo update-vfw policy script when

Karthick,

Please look for BRMS_DEPENDENCY_VERSION at the end of
${OOM_HOME}/kubernetes/config/docker/init/src/config/policy/opt/policy/config/pe/brmsgw.conf.

That parameter should be the same as the Policy container version number. For
Amsterdam, it has to be either 1.1.1 or 1.1.3, depending on the Policy version
that you are using (Amsterdam v1.1.1 or Amsterdam Maintenance v1.1.3).

Also,
${OOM_HOME}/kubernetes/config/docker/init/src/config/policy/opt/policy/config/pe/push-policies.sh,
 line 11 should be:

wget -O cl-amsterdam-template.drl
https://git.onap.org/policy/drools-applications/plain/controlloop/templates/archetype-cl-amsterdam/src/main/resources/archetype-resources/src/main/resources/__closedLoopControlName__.drl?h=amsterdam

instead of wget -O cl-amsterdam-template.drl
https://git.onap.org/policy/drools-applications/plain/controlloop/templates/archetype-cl-amsterdam/src/main/resources/archetype-resources/src/main/resources/__closedLoopControlName__.drl

(note ?h=amsterdam at the end of the correct call).

You can make these changes in your OOM local repo, as described above, or
directly in the ONAP configuration folder in your NFS share (or local disk if
you have a single-host K8S cluster), in
/dockerdata-nfs/onap/policy/opt/policy/config/pe/push-policies.sh (and the same
path for brmsgw.conf). The former approach requires to rebuild ONAP, while the
latter requires to rebuild only Policy.

The policy that was pushed used the kubernetes update-vfw-op-policy.sh script

Re: [onap-discuss] Demo update-vfw policy script when running without closed loop

2018-01-29 Thread FREEMAN, BRIAN D
The log looked like the karaf log from ODL going out to the traffic generator.
vPNG.

You should be able to ssh from the ODL pod to the oam ip of the vPNG vm on port
2831 (not sure if you are using 2831 or 1830 - the karaf log is saying APPC is
trying to contact on port 2831.

Try a ping first from the APPC POD to the vPNG and then ssh on the port you
configured in the netconf mount on appc.

Re: [onap-discuss] Demo update-vfw policy script when running without closed loop

2018-01-29 Thread Ramanarayanan, Karthick
Thanks Brian.

ssh access from appc pod to the vPG vm was available.

But I don't see any netconf server running on vpg vm on port 2831 (or any port
for that matter).

The vpg provisioning did happen as part of vnf create as the vpacketgen_init
script is running.

But no honeycomb start or netconf server running on port 2831.

Doing a manual Honeycomb start goes and ultimately fails with unable to open
vpp management connection.

Will check.

Thanks for your help.

Something wrong with the vpp configuration on the vnf that was provisioned by
onap!

The log looked like the karaf log from ODL going out to the traffic generator.
vPNG.

You should be able to ssh from the ODL pod to the oam ip of the vPNG vm on port
2831 (not sure if you are using 2831 or 1830 – the karaf log is saying APPC is
trying to contact on port 2831.

Try a ping first from the APPC POD to the vPNG and then ssh on the port you
configured in the netconf mount on appc.

Yes they were called for sure since vpacketinit was running run fw_demo script
doing a curl PUT on the restconf server on port 8183 which wasn't instantiated
as honeycomb start had failed mentioned earlier.

But some issues with that.

That's what is being checked.

[onap-discuss] 答复: 答复: [E] 答复: [vf-c] Query regarding EMS Driver

2018-01-29 Thread Yan Yang
Hi Viswa,

For VoLTE use case in Amsterdam release, VNF LCM is done by SVNFM and VF-C
integrates with SVNFMs via drivers.

VF-C provides VNFM driver northbound APIs. SVNFM vendor can implement these
interface in their drivers to integrate SVNFM with VF-C.

Regarding LCM, should EMS then, be introduced as S-VNFM under VF-C ? If so, are
there any specs / docs ?

Thank you.

Hello ONAP community:

Active developers and project leadership are strongly encouraged to participate
in the ONS event. Monday and Tuesday will be exceptionally valuable and the
rest of the week can be used to either learn about something new going on in
the industry and/or continue the discussions and work that are started on

[onap-discuss] [it-infrastructure-alerts] ONAP environment maintenance 2018-01-30 @ 14:00 PDT (22:00 UTC)

2018-01-29 Thread Jessica Wagantall
What: The Linux Foundation will be performing needed maintenance on our
Nexus server.
Our team will be migrating onap nexus-1 to a new performance node.

When: Tuesday, Jan 30th @ 14:00 PDT (2018-01-30 @ 22:00 UTC)

Why: nexus.onap.org has been running out of memory several times per day.
Need to get it more than the 3.7G that it currently has. Also it will be
moved to a performance
node instead of a v1-standard-4. The Nexus version also will be upgraded
and security
fixes will be included with the upgrade

Impact: Nexus will be inaccessible for about 30 mins during the upgrade.
Jenkins will be paused before the window to avoid jobs failing due to Nexus
not being available.

Notices will be posted to the mailing lists at the start and end of the
maintenance.

主题: [onap-discuss] Using VF-C

I would like to try out the VF-C part ONAP and have a few questions:

1) are there any ready made packages with TOSCA based descriptors available
somewhere

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/VOLTE+test+case+input+collection+for+tracking

2) do you have to create the required packages using SDC or could you use
externally created packages

Vendor provides the csar packages and imports into SDC

3) if the answer to 2) is YES => what is the onboarding procedure for
externally created packages?

https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Resource+Onboarding

I have deployed ONAP using OOM.

/Lars
