[onap-discuss] [SDC]Validation of Datatypes during Import

2018-07-11 Thread shaheen
Hi Michael,

I would like to understand how datatypes are validated inside SDC.

According to TOSCA-Simple-Profile-YAML1.1, *a valid datatype definition
MUST have either a valid derived_from declaration or atleast one valid
property definition.*

http://docs.oasis-open.org/tosca/TOSCA-Simple-Profile-YAML/v1.1/csprd01/TOSCA-Simple-Profile-YAML-v1.1-csprd01.html

Today in SDC ,while importing datatypes if alteast one property is present
and no derived then the system does not fail.

Does SDC follow TOSCA standards completely? Is derived_from keyword
mandatory in a datatype definition irrespective of properties.

Thanks,
Shaheen Shaik

Hi,
For the VFC grant procedure, I guess vfc resource manager was
earlier used.
Is it finalized now if resource manager will removed and OOF will
be used ?

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] execute closedloop script, get "TypeError: string indices must be integers"

2018-07-11 Thread Brian
Hard to debug remotely but it might be that you haven’t configured robot
correctly. If the vFWSNK-1 does not exist you should get the below error
message.
Instead you are getting a python error which could mean the VNF exists in AAI
but the vfModule or one of the relationships does not.

I would go to the robot gui and look up your test to see the data you are
getting back and where in
/var/opt/OpenECOMP_ETE/robot/resources/demo_preload.robot
you are getting the error from.

In heat if you run demo.sh init_robot and set a password for user ‘test’ you
can then go to the robot VM on port 88 and view logs
(e.g. http://10.12.5.220:88/logs/)

Scroll down to the test run (PreloadDemo in this case) and then look at
log.html

You can also find the logs on the VM file system but its easier to use the web
interface.

2018-07-11 Thread Abdelmuhaimen Seaudi
Hi James / Harysh,

I was able to make add our signed certificate to aai by modifying
“oom/kubernets/aai/templates/deployment.yaml”:

  containers:
volumeMounts:
- mountPath: /etc/ssl/private/aai.pem
  subPath: aai.pem
  name: aai-haproxy-sec

  volumes:
- name: aai-haproxy-sec
  secret:
secretName: aai-haproxy-secret

And, by putting the signed certificate in
“oom/kubernetes/aai/resources/config/haproxy/aai.pem”

Hi Jimmy,

Yes we weren’t able to keep the certificate in oom due to limitations of the
secret.
I believe the file is stored as a secret in the config map but we didn’t add
the file here:

oom/kubernetes/aai/resources/config/haproxy/aai.pem

[cid:image002.jpg@01D40EF7.F2ED83B0]

They would need to update this file:

https://git.onap.org/oom/tree/kubernetes/aai/templates/deployment.yaml

under volumes add this with same spacing:

- name: aai-haproxy-sec
  configMap:
name: aai-haproxy-secret

And under volumeMounts:

- mountPath: /etc/ssl/private/aai.pem
  subPath: aai.pem
  name: aai-haproxy-sec

Hi

When I try to add a signed certificate to AAI pod in OOM Beijing, I find that I
am still getting the original AAI certificate when I try to access AAI.

This means I need to restart the haproxy docker container ?

I tried deleting the haproxy pod, but this builds a new container and my signed
certificate disappears.

I tried looking up the node hosting the haproxy container and restarting the
k8s_haproxy_xxx container and it worked and the new certificate is working.

Is there a better way to add a signed certificate to AAI OOM Beijing ?

Thanks

Try to run “vppctl show pac” in the traffic generator and see if traffic
streams are active. You should see at least one stream active. If not, or if
you are experiencing issues with VPP, something could be wrong with cloud init,
so you may need to restart the vPacketGen, as Brian suggested.

Scroll down to the test run (PreloadDemo in this case) and then look at
log.html

You can also find the logs on the VM file system but its easier to use the web
interface.

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] create another vgw instance error

2018-07-11 Thread Brian
I think the DHCP on that side of the vGW might not be working correctly.

I checked over the data in the integration environment and test data from Kang
and I think we are setting the CPE_SIGNALING IP on the vGW via preload.

{
  "name": "vgw_private_ip_2",
  "value": "10.2.0.5"
},

Add vgw_private_ip_2 to the VGW2BRG-fa:16:3e:8a:bd:93 preload (or whatever your
BRG MAC Address is)

And see if that unblocks the second vGW

Chenglong,

Not sure why the neutron stack is rejecting that create since that IP should be
assigned by the vdns VM on the CPE_PUBIC subnet not by the neutron heat stack
call.
BTW the vGW1 should have gotten 10.2.0.2 not 10.2.0.3 if it was the first
gateway to come up.

The dhcp addresses on the CPE_PUBLIC subnet are assigned by the vdns VNF and
the log file is:
  "output": "/var/log/kea-dhcp4.log"

Also look in /var/lib/kea/kea-leases4.csv to see if you are getting the DHCP
lease assignments expected.

Kang did get multiple vGW/vBRGs working but he did have to change his scripts
for it. He is expected back on Thursday and can probably provide better insight
if we cant solve it before then.

Hello:

When we test vcpe use case, we had create a Vxlan tunnel success with a
vbrg instance and a vgw named vgw1 instance. So we want to create another
VxLANs tunnel. First, we create a new vbrg instance and success. But there is
an error when create the vgw instance named vgw2, the error message is:
"Received vfModuleException from VnfAdapter: category='INTERNAL'
message='Exception during create VF 0 : Stack error (CREATE_FAILED): Resource
CREATE failed: Conflict: resources.vgw_private_2_port: IP address 10.2.0.3

The error message show this information "IP address 10.2.0.3 already
allocated ", we check the ip address and found that is the first vgw1's ip, so
it seems vDHCP instance don't allocate right IP address to vgw2 instance. So we
want to know how to find where is ip address allocate and how to solve this
error.

[onap-discuss] Att: PTL - Languages supported in ONAP

2018-07-11 Thread Arul Nambi
Hi PTL's/Community,
In the security committee we are looking for the list of languages that needs
to be supported when we come up with new tools for code coverage and static
analysis.
Currently we know of

  1. Java(ofcourse)
  2. Javascript
We think that we will need PHP and Phyton, but need confirmation from the
projects(preferably PTLs) about the language support that is needed and the
name of the project.
There is a query in gerrit which can be used to find projects with certain file
extensions, but it hard think of all the languauges.
Once we have a complete list I can update the wiki page so that in future we
will know the languages that we support.

Subject: Re: [onap-discuss] [CLAMP] Align Clamp ELK Stack using common charts

Sounds good I’ll see you guys the week of the 11th.

Clamp 170 was originally to align both logging and clamp off a common chart –
you guys repurposed the jira and implemented the filebeat sidecar and logs now
flow through the logging elk stack.
So I created 175 to align logging and clamp off a common chart
All three blow are shadows for the work in 3 projects to use a chart off common
(like we do for dgbuilder in APPC and SDNC)
https://git.onap.org/oom/tree/kubernetes/common

https://jira.onap.org/browse/CLAMP-175
https://jira.onap.org/browse/LOG-415
https://jira.onap.org/browse/OOM-1101

I would expect that we would parameterized anything specific to clamp and
logging like the docker version tags – put these in our respective values.yaml
override and provide separate resources folders for our configmaps and init
containers.

Scaling, daemonsets, loadbalancers and services would still be specific to each
of our pods – and we would still run 2 separate ELK stacks – except the helm
charts would be common.

Thank you
/michael

Re: [onap-discuss] ONAP_OOM Portal

2018-07-11 Thread Michael O'Brien
Udhay,
Hi, Your issue is most likely Load balancer (service) related.
Kubadm does not ship with a default --type=LoadBalancer
The rancher RI for ONAP Kubernetes deployment ships with a built in load
balancer – portal is the only LB service currently in ONAP. Without this load
balancer you would need to manually configure your own native load balancer –
like a classic ELB (non-ALB) in Amazon AWS for example.

Since you are using kubeadm to run your kubernetes cluster instead of the
Rancher 1.6.14/1.6.18 RI – I would expect that the lack of a configured LB
would not distribute the request to the proper nodeport on a particular VM on
your cluster
I have raised a doc issue on this – to get this documented
https://jira.onap.org/browse/OOM-1282

Everyone,
A good way to test whether any portal issue is LB related - would be to
expose the built in Grafana (Thanks Mandeep for pointing this out) – monitoring
service as a LoadBalancer
https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Cloud+Native+Deployment#CloudNativeDeployment-GrafanaDashboards
In this case the LB service will navigate to the port (just like portal
would) regardless of which node I launch from master0-8

http://master1.onap.info:30928/dashboard/db/cluster?orgId=1

# expose the nodeport
kubectl expose -n kube-system deployment monitoring-grafana --type=LoadBalancer
--name monitoring-grafana-client
service "monitoring-grafana-client" exposed
# get the nodeport pod is running on
kubectl get services --all-namespaces -o wide | grep graf
kube-system monitoring-grafana ClusterIP 10.43.44.197
80/TCP

Subject: ONAP_OOM Portal

Hi Micheal,

Good day,

I am trying to bring up Portal alone as a standalone component using OOM with
kubeadm.

All the pods are up and running, but i could see the services of portal-app
external_ip's to be in the pending state.

when i tried to bring up Portal using Rancher, the external Ip is getting
allocated, and works good.

Kindly let me know, do i need to configure any external settings to make the
portal-app to assign external-ip's.

regards,
Udhay

[onap-discuss][DCAE] DCAE committer promotion feedback request

2018-07-11 Thread Lji
Dear DCAE committers,

As the DCAE project grows to meet the new challenges and requirements of the
releases, its code base has grown substantially. We need to have more
committers supporting the project. Fortunately, now we have two contributors
that have gratefully agreed to step up for the responsibility.

Jack Lucas (AT&T), LF ID jflu...@research.att.com, has been a key contributor
for DCAE code, and an integrator and tester for the all DCAE features since the
beginning of the ONAP DCAE project. He is well qualified for an overall
committer for the DCAE projects. His code and review contributions can be
found with the following Gerrit query:
https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/q/(reviewer:jflucas%2540research.att.com+OR+owner:jflucas%2540research.att.com)+status:merged

Przemyslaw Wasala (Nokia), LF ID przemyslaw.was...@nokia.com, has joined us
since R2 and he has been leading the work for the DCAE PNF Registration Handler
(PRH) project. Because of his familiarity of the PRH code base, he is ideal
for being the committer for PRH and related repos, specifically the
dcaegen2/services/prh and the newly proposed dcaegen2/collectors/hv-ves repos.
His contributions can be found with the following query:
https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/q/(reviewer:przemyslaw.wasala%2540nokia.com+OR+owner:przemyslaw.wasala%2540nokia.com)+status:merged

Please reply to this email your +1/-1 by the end of this week.

Thanks,
Lusheng Ji

Hi Arul,

Please do include Python as well to the list. There are quite a few projects
that have significant Python code bases. OOF, for instance, is a pure python
project, and would need python support from the tools used for code
coverage/analysis.

Thanks,

Regarding tools, golang has some built in tools for coverage (we already use

[onap-discuss] [appc] APPC LCM Restart doesn't restart the vm

2018-07-11 Thread Srivahni
Hi all,

I'm using the appc-provider-lcm:restart operation on the APPC ONAP Doc Explorer
to restart a vm in Amsterdam.

I used the sample json request from https://jira.onap.org/browse/INT-206 and
modified it have my vnf and vm data.

On clicking "Try it out!", I see the request accepted and the status of vnf
changing from "Running" to "Restarting" and back to "Running" on ONAP VID.
However, the vm doesn't seem to restart(checked the action log in openstack
dashboard).

Can anyone help me with the issue? Are there any logs that I can check?

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] create another vgw instance error

2018-07-11 Thread Brian
Found the configuration problem on vDNS/vDHCP

https://jira.onap.org/browse/TEST-104

Should have a fix pushed soon but you can also manually fix the config file.

I suspect the heat.yml for the vGW isnt quite right because it works without
the DHCP on the CPE_PUBLIC side for the first vGW.

I think the DHCP on that side of the vGW might not be working correctly.

I checked over the data in the integration environment and test data from Kang
and I think we are setting the CPE_SIGNALING IP on the vGW via preload.

{
  "name": "vgw_private_ip_2",
  "value": "10.2.0.5"
},

Add vgw_private_ip_2 to the VGW2BRG-fa:16:3e:8a:bd:93 preload (or whatever your
BRG MAC Address is)

And see if that unblocks the second vGW

***Security Advisory: This Message Originated Outside of AT&T ***

  "output": "/var/log/kea-dhcp4.log"

VxLANs tunnel. First, we create a new vbrg instance and success. But there is

The error message show this information "IP address 10.2.0.3 already

it seems vDHCP instance don't allocate right IP address to vgw2 instance. So we

Re: [onap-discuss] [appc] APPC LCM Restart doesn't restart the vm

2018-07-11 Thread Scott Seabolt
Hi Srivahni

You should be able to look in the karaf.log (OOEM deployment it will be located
in /var/log/onap/appc and for Heat deployed APPC environments it is
/opt/opendaylight/current/data/log).

When APPC calls OpenStack you should see the IaaS Adapter make a Keystone
request to get a token (Search karaf.log for "keystone"). Once a token is
obtained and OpenStack "os-stop" is sent to OpenStack followed by an "os-start"
once APPC confirms the VM stopped. If these actions are not present look for
errors in the karaf.log.

Hi all,

I'm using the appc-provider-lcm:restart operation on the APPC ONAP Doc Explorer
to restart a vm in Amsterdam.

I used the sample json request from
https://jira.onap.org/browse/INT-206
and modified it have my vnf and vm data.

Try to run “vppctl show pac” in the traffic generator and see if traffic
streams are active. You should see at least one stream active. If not, or if
you are experiencing issues with VPP, something could be wrong with cloud init,
so you may need to restart the vPacketGen, as Brian suggested.

I think Marco has seen that and sometimes you need to simply restart the
traffic generator VM.

(e.g. http://10.12.5.220:88/logs/

 )

Scroll down to the test run (PreloadDemo in this case) and then look at
log.html

You can also find the logs on the VM file system but its easier to use the web
interface.

Here are the references I mentioned during our meeting today:

The question we want to tackle is:

Which best practices make sense to adopt in ONAP?

Let's use this email thread to capture our views. Once we have an initial
set, we will transfer them into read-the-docs for further iterations.

Cheers,

Arul

Re: [onap-discuss] [integration] create another vgw instance error

2018-07-11 Thread Liu Chenglong
Hi, Brian:
At first, thanks a lot for you help. In our laboratory, the IP 10.2.0.3
that we found in base_vcpe_vgw.env file, and yes 10.2.0.3 that is allocated by
sub network vcpe_net_cpe_public_201807060636 in vgw1 instance, and 10.2.0.1 is
the vDNS IP that is also allocated by subnetwork
vcpe_net_cpe_public_201807060636.

We check out vcpe script and preload_templates files , and we not found
"the CPE_SIGNALING IP on the vGW via preload. “. And we vDNS, vGw, vbrg’s
network information are show in there pictures.

 the vgw’s network information:

  the vdns’s network information:

the vbrg’s network information:

Brian, Kang, please check these network information are right?

We run vcpe.py customer again in last night, and we found that’s another
error happened, the error message is "statusMessage": "Received a Bad Sync
Response from Sniro/OOF.” That’s seem to we meet different error. So we hope to
you can provide the running flow after the vcpe script call MSO restful API,
the url or picture is ok.

Re: [onap-discuss] [modeling] Call for agreement on lifecycle stereotype

2018-07-11 Thread Xu Yang
Hi Jessie,

Maybe I misunderstood your previous comment, I’m ok if we can align with the
current GenDoc output format.

@Hui, it seems no more comments are received, can we conclude that the proposal
is agreed by the subcommittee?

Hi Xu-
That's the reason I made the comment. The wiki should be aligned with how
GenDoc outputs the applied stereotypes, and the way I described is how GenDoc
does it.

The comment is valid, but would you prefer to mark the lifecycle of the model
on the wiki in a different way, i.e., using Experimental, Faulty, etc. directly?
I think it would be better to align with the GenDoc outputs now, though they
may not be proper. Because it’s very likely that we will use Gendoc to update
the wiki in the future, having the format aligned will ease the work.

Just a minor comment:
The lifecycle states ARE the applied stereotypes, not something called
"lifecycle: XYZ". That's how GenDoc outputs them today. So, as an example, the
applied stereotype for an artifact would be "Experimental". Otherwise, it looks
like your applied stereotype is "lifecycle".

Also, I have an action item to determine the triggers for the various state
transitions, but that shouldn't block approval of this proposal.

Hi

We are not familiar with the proposal and not sure how it would impact the
service modeling discussion or documentation.

Since it is asking for agreement on adopting universally for all the
modeling areas, so I feel that we are not in the place of committing to it
right now.

Re: [onap-discuss] [onap-tsc] TSC meetings: length, topics etc.

It is indeed all about governance.

In open source the common best practice is for meeting agendas and content to
be published and commented on ahead of time. This is especially important
given the fact that many contributors to a project may be non-native speakers
of English who benefit greatly from reviewing content in advance. For whatever
reason (in the case of the TSC meeting at least), this practice has not been
embraced. I would be utterly shocked if there was anyone out there that
doesn't think that is a good idea. A vote on this would be a bit like vote on
whether or not tying your shoes is a smart thing to do.

As I previously stated: All anyone needs to do is go in and add something
---AND--- the members of the TSC need to go look at it.

If the desire is to add a column for comments, that is a simple. However,
people would need to add their names to their input in the column whereas using
the built-in comments section eliminates the need to self-tag input. I can do
that without any sort of approval necessary but asking for a quick
show-of-hands to see if it would be worth my time to do so.

Regardless of the governance model, at the end of the day what is to be
discussed at the TSC meeting is ultimately at the discretion of the TSC Chair.
If the suggestion is to amend the Technical Community Document to codify a
provision where nothing will be discussed unless it has been previously vetted
on the wiki, then it should be added to an upcoming TSC agenda by the person
making the recommendation and then commented on in advance of the meeting. ;-)

Thanks!

Agree that it's about the governance. The TSC Chair (or designate) should
exercise some discretion over the content and order of the agenda to best meet
the overall community's needs. That combined with the timely submission of
topics and accompanying materials (as Arash and others have suggested) should
go a long way toward more efficient and effective meetings.

Hi Kenny,

The enforcement is more important than the format. Enforcement meaning, asking
the presenters to upload their full presentation (document, wiki link, etc.) a
week or a few days in advance. And, asking the voting members to read them and
comment on them prior to the meeting.

The format is up to you and the current table format is good. One thing that
comes to mind is where would the comments for a given topic go. Should there be
another column for comments or should all comments go at the bottom of the page.

If you want, you could hold a quick vote on the premise of this proposal in
this week’s TSC meeting. To see if the majority of voting members think
expecting the presenters to provide their full presentation a few days in
advance and expecting the voting members to read the material and add any
necessary comments prior to the meeting is a worthwhile proposal or not.

Arash
