You can use 2.0.0-ONAP branch to download and install SDC, although
sdnc-ansible-server fails in 2.0.0-ONAP branch too.

Dear Jimmy,

#aai

Dear AAI Clients,

AAI is still using HTTPS basic authentication in Casablanca but since we are
integrating with AAF we cannot continue to use the existing usernames and
passwords since all the ones we created in the demo in Amsterdam are against
AAF standards – therefore, I cannot port into AAF the existing credentials that
have been used to talk to AAI.

I have reached out directly to the PTLs of the major clients of AAI about this
upcoming change in usernames and passwords, so they should be covered (robot,
so, sdnc, dcae, policy, sdc, vid, appc, and oof).

I have two open commits for both HEAT and OOM environments so that your teams
will be able to transition to the new usernames/passwords before we move to
AAF, which will allow us to turn on the AAF enforcement without a flash cut and
hopefully without any interruptions for those clients who have taken the step
of converting to the new credentials.

For the rest of you who may be piggy-backing off these legacy credentials and
your project is not listed above, the credential you have been using *will stop
working* once AAI has enabled Authentication and Authorization with AAF. Let
me say that again: the usernames and passwords that you have been using will
stop working once we enable AAF in AAI – we were hoping to get there by M4 but
we are unlikely to reach that goal so it will be implemented shortly after M4.

Each system should be issued its own ID in AAF; if your system has not been set
up in AAF I recommend reaching out to the AAF team ASAP (Jonathan Gathman is
the PTL) and then let me know what your application id is.

Please let me know soon so we can make this transition as painless and seamless
as possible.

Thanks,
Jimmy Forsyth

Re: [onap-discuss] dcaegen2 healthcheck in casablanca

2018-09-17 Thread Vijay VK
Hi Donald,
In OOM deployments DCAE healthcheck are reported by separate service -
dcae-healthcheck; this is deployment of
org.onap.dcaegen2.deployments.healthcheck-container which is built from
dcaegen2/deployment repo - healthcheck-container module. The container includes
list of deployments done in DCAE (both via helm charts and Cloudify) for which
periodic health check is performed. For helm deployed component - servicename
defined is charts are used and for cloudify, the deployments identified in
bootstrap are prefixed with release name.

The container itself is deployed via helm charts
(oom/kubernetes/dcaegen2/charts/dcae-healthcheck) though. This polls the
deployments specified periodically and reports the status. One constraint with
this option is only static deployment can be included in this heathcheck. For
Dublin, we are looking to expand to support dynamic deployment as well (for
components deployed via CLAMP flow).

As PNDA is targeted deployment via helm charts, we can extend the healthcheck
container
(https://git.onap.org/dcaegen2/deployments/tree/healthcheck-container/healthcheck.js)
to include the service deployed in PNDA charts for additional health check
reporting.

Thanks,
Vijay

Hi Vijay,

Is the healthcheck architecture for dcaegen2 in Casablanca documented anywhere?
I’m trying to figure out where best to integrate PNDA into the health check and
don’t currently see anything working successfully on master.

Thanks,
Donald.

Re: [onap-discuss] [onap-discuss OOM ROBOT] credentials and scripts

2018-09-17 Thread Alexis de Talhouet
George,

To setup the creds, you can use oom/kubernetes/robot demo.sh
init_robot ; it will prompt you to enter the password for the user test, but it
will afterward do some other stuff that might fail.
Another solution would be to go in the pod itself, and create the file
/etc/lighttpd/authorization where you can put username:password (I used
test:test for instance).
Then things should work.

Re: [onap-discuss] [onap-discuss OOM ROBOT] credentials and scripts

2018-09-17 Thread Brian
Run "./demo-k8s.sh onap init_robot" and it will prompt you for a password for
the "test" userid.

If this fails - log into the robot got to /etc/lighttpd and create a file
called "authorization" with one line "test:test" in it.

To use the "test" as the password for "test"

I installed a minimal set of ONAP components (just SDNC, DMaaP and Robot) in a
rancher/kubernetes environment. I'm using the instructions at

to access robot. I browsed to :30209 and was prompted for

the current credentials? Also, that same wiki page says there are several
scripts in the robot container, but I found nothing when I ssh'd into the

Thanks much,

[onap-discuss] DCAE - Adding ML based network analytics

2018-09-17 Thread Srini
Hi DCAE team,

As I understand, DCAE analytics applications that exist today such as TCA are
non-ML based.
Is there any plan to include ML based network analytics as an application in
DCAE? If so, is anybody working on it?

Some questions on DCAE:
I started to dig little bit in DCAE on creating new analytics applications.
I know little bit on how to add new analytics applications in CDAP. As I
understand DCAE uses CDAP internally.
In CDAP, any new analytics applications are expected to be developed in Java.
Deployment of applications happen by deploying JAR files.
I was told that DCAE allows analytics applications deployed as containers
(Micro Service). Thereby, it provides choice of developing analytics
applications in any language or using any ML framework etc...
First of all, is that understanding correct? Is CDAP pipeline infrastructure
modified (in DCAE) to allow micro service based chaining?
Second, is there any tutorial to create new micro-service based analytics
applications? I tried to search, but there are too many hits and could not nail
down the right page :(.

Thanks
Srini

Re: [onap-discuss] [ ONAP ] EXTAPI-122

2018-09-17 Thread Gary Wu
Hi Matthieu,

We deploy OOM once a day. This chart shows, for each OOM deployment, the
number of times your container got killed and restarted by Kubernetes. It has
nothing to do with gerrit.

If your container is getting killed/restarted by Kubernetes, it means that your
liveness probe is configured incorrectly in your OOM helm chart. The target is
to fix the liveness probe configuration so that there are zero restarts even if
the deployment environment is arbitrarily slow or congested on any particular
day.

Thanks,
Gary

Do you think we are facing an app instability ? is it relative to the use of
some magic world we can use in gerrit or is it independant ?

Re: [onap-discuss] [portal] ONAP GUI Styling Guidance

2018-09-17 Thread Manoop Talasila
Hi Guangrong,

Below is the documentation on portal UI styling and provides the references to
create your first application page with appropriate CSS.

  *   https://wiki.onap.org/display/DW/Portal%27s+SDK+UI+documentation
  *
https://docs.onap.org/en/beijing/submodules/portal.git/docs/tutorials/portal-sdk/your-angularjs-app.html

Regarding “CSS files under
ecomp-portal-FE-common
 and
ecomp-portal-FE-os”,
they are structured in sucha way that, css files in “*-common” are general
purpose which can be used commonly by any applications (app), but the css files
in “*-os” are specific to your app. If your GUI is based on the portal-sdk
(which is recommended), then you need both “*-common” and “*-os”; If not based
on portal-sdk, then you can pick appropriate css elements from these projects
to make your GUI output align closely with the other ONAP apps.

In case of any specific questions, please reach out to Portal experts on these
topics (CCed Sunder and Saravanan). Thanks.

Subject: [portal] ONAP GUI Styling Guidance

Hi Manoop,

The Holmes team is developing its GUI to make itself more user-friendly.
Because our ultimate goal is to integrate it with CLAMP (or Policy), we want to
make the appearance of the GUI well aligned with other components in ONAP.

I've looked through the Portal repo and found some CSS files under
ecomp-portal-FE-common
 and
ecomp-portal-FE-os.
But I don't know which of them could be used as our basic styling guidelines.

Is there a wiki page telling us how to style our pages? Or are there any
existing CSS files for us to follow?

Thanks,
Guangrong

Re: [onap-discuss] onap-sdnc-ansible-server cannot launch

2018-09-17 Thread jkzcristiano
I've just tried both Beijing and 2.0.0-ONAP now and I have the same issue with
sdnc-ansible-server-xx-yy pod. Same logs in sdnc-ansible-server container. Not
sure why ONAP services/resources are changing in stable branches. It was
working one week ago.

The same happened with sdc-act service in Beijing. SDC was working 1 month ago
but now has some issues.

Anyway, were you able to fix that?

Re: [onap-discuss] [onap-install] helm install local/onap failed

2018-09-17 Thread Katsiaryna Kazak
Hi Prasad,

Which version do you try to install?

If its beijing (I suppose so, because you mention downgrading), then having
helm version 2.8.2 is essential.

For me downgrading process looked something like that:
1. helm reset --force  - this will uninstall tiller from your kubectl cluster
2. delete/uninstall the old helm, download helm ver. 2.8.2 and start over again
(helm init etc.)

Good luck!

Hi Vidhu,

I don't use nexus3. I use docker's registry proxy cache. Here is how to set
it up:

Start with a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04. Then run the following:

apt-get install docker.io
docker run -d -p 5000:5000 --restart=unless-stopped --name registry -e
REGISTRY_PROXY_REMOTEURL=https://nexus3.onap.org:10001 registry:2

Dom, thank you for sharing this method.
Indeed during development your approach is convenient (we also use it).
Please notice these are two different problem. I am not sure which one of them
Vidhu is trying to solve:

1. speeding up deployment using local nexus3, preventing network traffic
and pulling from slow onap nexus3

2. dev existing or new docker images

Subject: [onap-discuss] How to debug BPMN Workflow [SO]

Hi Team,
I'm trying to debug the flow how CreateVfModuleInfra.Bpmn gets executed at
run time using cockpit but i failed to see the runtime flow in UI since the
execution was so fast.
1. Is there any way to have a breakpoint in any of the BPMN Objects and
continue the flow ?
2. Cockpit has any option to dubug the workflow at runtime?
3. Also let me know how callback concept works in SO?

Kindly throw your inputs!!!
