Re: [onap-tsc] Modularity

2019-01-08 Thread Stephen Terrill
Hi Keong,

There has not been a discussion on supporting different versions of the modules
within ONAP, that would be left as an exercise to the one that wants to do it.
This is not a change in functionality of the modules at this stage.

BR,

Steve

Is the current work on "SO Modularization" and "controller Modularization" only
to define the proposed API of the modules?
Or is it also providing multiple implementations of such modules as well?
Or will it be left as an exercise for SP operators to work out how to implement
and deploy their own modules?
What would this alternate module do differently from the original module?
Is it intended for the alternate module to completely replace the original
module or to work alongside it?

Keong

Re: [onap-tsc] ONAP Subcommittee meetings just prior to ONS N.A.

2019-01-08 Thread denghui (L)
Hi all

I think that it is quite useful to have this joint meeting, probably we could
have a joint 2 hours session on Monday morning across Architecture/Use
Case/Modeling subcommittee for common topics. Later we could have parallel
sessions of each subcommittee.

By the way, we are considering to have one day Multi-SDO workshop on Tuesday,
if we allocate modeling subcommittee to Monday, that won’t be any confliction.

Thanks a lot

DENG Hui

Hello ONAP TSC:

Given the timing, attendance and success of the Architecture and Modeling
subcommittee meetings in Montreal last year, we've been thinking that repeating
such a meeting co-located with ONS (spring in the Bay area of U.S.A., and fall
in Antwerp, Belgium) this year would be worthwhile. The timing of these
meetings will allow subcommittees such as Architecture, Modeling, Use Case,
etc. to come together to perform the needed pre-work for the El Alto (E)
release of ONAP.

To prepare for such a meeting at ONS U.S., we will target the 2 days prior to
the ONS event (Monday & Tuesday, April 1st and 2nd). I would like to hear from
Subcommittee Chairpersons on if your group would like to hold a meeting at that
time. Please respond to this thread at your earliest opportunity if you would
like us to find a space for you and please let us know how many people you
would expect to attend so that we can plan the event accordingly.

Thanks,

Phil.

Re: [onap-tsc] ONAP Subcommittee meetings just prior to ONS N.A.

2019-01-08 Thread Alla Goldner
Hi Phil,

Such a meeting for Use case subcommittee can definitely be beneficial.

I would say we may need a room for approx. 20-30 people attending physically
and a bridge.

Best regards, Alla
