  Hi.

  2012/6/4 RGB ES rgb.m...@gmail.com:
   https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/feed/entries/atom

   gives document not found

  Yes.

  blogs.apache.org/OOo/feed/entries/atom=[**]

  [**] extension of feed

Yep, All Category Feeds work except 'All' and 'General'

I'm assuming one of the posts in 'General' is invalid somehow.

Give me time to find it.

 Feeds fixed.

Thanks, Gavin, that did the trick. My guess is the rsquo; got in
there via a cutpaste from a word processor.

Any ideas on the security exception when adding to the media library?
Is that a known limitation?

The error is:

Unexpected Exception
Status Code 500
Message Security Violation
Type
Exception Roller has encountered and logged an unexpected exception.

-Rob

Moved over feeds one at a time from 'General' to new category 'Misc'
Revealed that the very first post
 https://blogs.apache.org/OOo/entry/ooo_there_rsquo_s_a
had an actual rsquo embedded in the title. Moving the post corrected it.

It is likely all posts can be moved back to 'General' category and 'Misc'
dropped , let me know or
Happy for you guys to do it yourself.

RE: [AOO Blog]Feeds do not work

2012-06-11 Thread Dennis E. Hamilton
If the objectionable character was a curved apostrophe in the title of the
first post to the AOO blog, it means that it got there from Windows Live
Writer, the authoring tool I use for directly creating posts to the AOO and
other blogs. I must be more careful what characters I include in blog-post
titles. They are not handled uniformly by different blog engines.

Odd.   RSS feed gives the same error.  Do you know for sure whether it
 was working before?

Yes: I added the feed to Akregator long time ago and it worked without
problems.

I checked the ASF blog and the Flex blog and both had working feeds.

OK. Dave and Marcus are our blog admins. It would be best if they
could check to see if there is anything they can fix on their end. I
also find that as an author I cannot upload images to the media
library anymore.

If there is no admin fix for this, then an Infra JIRA ticket would be
the next step.
