Re: Handout view display only a blank slide
Andre, It shows a template with empty placeholders for slides. So per the discussion, it is an intended behavior. - Shenfeng 2012/8/7 Andre Fischer awf@gmail.com On 01.08.2012 09:27, Shenfeng Liu wrote: Hi, all, I Installed r1366353 Windows for both en-US and zh-CN. I'm not sure if it is a designed behavior. Steps to reproduce are very simple: 1. Create a presentation with built-in template. 2. Switch to Handout view. Issue: you will notice that the handout view display only a blank slide. Do you mean that the view is completely empty (only a white rectangle) or that it shows a template with empty placeholders for slides? The first would be an error, the second is the intended behavior. -Andre 3. Related issue: if you switch from Handout view to Outline view, there will be only 1 slide left in the slide navigator. 4. Not sure if related: it happened twice that when I switch quickly between views, AOO freeze on the Outline view. If it is not a designed behavior, I will open a defect in BZ. Thanks! - Shenfeng

Re: Handout view display only a blank slide
It seems 3 issues there. 1. The issue in step 2 is indeed as Regina said, same as 100616. 2. The issue in step 3 is about the view switch. It shows the master slide thumbnails when switch view from Handout to Outline. The root cause may be as below: a.The Handout view is regarded that equal to a Master view. The judgement changes the content in thumbnail slide area into master slide pages. But the thumbnail slide area does not display in Handout view, so we can not see the effect in UI. b.Outline view does not refresh the thumbnail slide content. When switch from Handout to Outline view, it inherited the previous setting. 3. The freeze issue I've not reproduced sucessfully. Would you pls provide more context? Re: Handout view display only a blank slide
Zhu Shan, Thanks for your analysis! My comments below. - Shenfeng 2012/8/2 Shan Zhu shanzh...@gmail.com It seems 3 issues there. 1. The issue in step 2 is indeed as Regina said, same as 100616. Agree, and I duplicated 120428 to 100616. 2. The issue in step 3 is about the view switch. It shows the master slide thumbnails when switch view from Handout to Outline. But the thumbnail slide area does not display in Handout view, so we can not see the effect in UI. b.Outline view does not refresh the thumbnail slide content. When switch from Handout to Outline view, it inherited the previous setting. Agree again. While since Normal view and Notes view will not be impacted when switch from Handout, I guess it is a defect can be fixed for Outline view. 3. The freeze issue I've not reproduced sucessfully. Would you pls provide more context? I also didn't find a way to reproduce it for now. I will update this issue later when I find out how to reproduce it.
