Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] [OPEN-ILS-DEV] Tomorrow's RM Election
Hi, I agree that we should continue with our plan to meet tomorrow and should also hold a vote as we've done for past RM elections where this is only one candidate. With that in mind, I'll open up the floor to questions for Galen when I start the meeting, with discussion of the release goals. As a reminder, Everyone is invited to participate in the voting. Evergreen core committers who cannot make the meeting may submit their vote via email to the open-ils-dev mailing list. Thank you! I suggest that folks plan on touching base tomorrow at 1 p.m. EDT in #evergreen anyway to discuss plans for 3.0 and confirm that we're all on more or less the same page regarding release goals. As such, I am withdrawing myself from consideration for the RM role for 3.0. While I believe strongly in the value of competition, I feel that unity is of even greater value for a community of our size. I hope instead that I might be considered for management of the 3.1 release. It seems that my vision for the 3.0 release is perhaps better suited for a 3.1 release in any case.
