Drive, design, and determine the ETL requirements mainly focusing on 
Informatica and PL/SQL development 
processes for reporting and analytics within a large Data Warehouse 
environment.  
The following skills are pretty much a must from that perspective

 

·  Perform an active, leading role in developing / shaping and 
enhancing overall ETL, Informatica & PL/SQL architecture, including ETL 
standards, 
patterns and best practices.

·  Perform development activities such as Source to target mapping 
validations, identify, document and execute unit test cases/scripts, peer and 
lead code reviews per code review checklist, and document test and review 
results.

·  Well-versed in developing ETL using Informatica and PL/SQL at

·  Strong experience in client interaction and understanding

·  Familiarity with Implementation Plans and Documentation

ETL Developer Description:

The candidate must be involved in at least 3-4 end-to-end DW/BI
implementation projects and should be current with the latest industry
trends. The candidate needs to be self-starter with ability to design,
develop and implement ETL jobs.


Job Level Summary:
These engineers are primarily focused on the creation, management, and
availability of all data needs for the Business Intelligence
and Reporting solutions as per the data model created *by Data Modeller
*
Duties:
 The role of these engineers encompasses the load ? verify ? publish data.
These engineers are also work in conjunction with the Data Modeller and
Architects to create, modify, or update data flows from the Source Systems
to Staging; Staging to Repository; and Repository to Reporting (*OLAP Cubes
and Data Marts*).
Perform analysis, design, development, testing, documentation and
implementation of *Ab Initio* software components
Follow development guidelines, standards and procedures
Must be able to also perform as a Data Analyst and address overall data
quality, including the design of *ETL strategies* to source, match and merge
from various disparate systems.
Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews and get the big
picture.
Administer and maintain the ETL metadata repository in a multi-user
environment
Lead the project independently and communicate with *Business Analysts, ETL
developers and QA team*.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business team
members


Qualifications:
 5+ years of development experience with 4+ years of Informatica
development experience (total of 8 years plus experience is required)
- Experience with star schema and *OLAP modeling
*- Experience with *Oracle,DB2 and SQL
*- Experience with *UNIX internals* and shell scripting
- Deep knowledge of *Ab Initio* and Informatica deployment and architecture
- Understanding of change management and automation/repeatability
- Strong knowledge and use of full lifecycle development methodologies,
standards and procedures
- Ability to multi-task and provide expertise for multiple development teams
across concurrent project tasks
- Resourceful and self starter with minimal hand holding required
- Good team work and communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with *PL/SQL
*- Experience with any Informatica *ETL tools would be a plus*
