For example, in Selector (which you didn't mention), if you start a list of values (left hand side, normally the integer indices) with integers (the normal situation), then try to enter a string on the left hand side, you get an error. But if you clear the list out, then you can enter strings on both sides (values and labels) if you like. You can find the "type =" info in a saved net file: I believe it's a bitfield converted to decimal so tends to have entries that look like powers of 2 or thereabouts. Thanks. I've rebuilt my VPE network from scratch, and the problem was gone! Could it be that loading a .net file that was generated with an older version of DX, causes such problems? I don't know whether this is true, but the problem has misteriously disappeared. Rob. Re: [opendx-users] How to make a list of negative reals?
Rob, I can't seem to reproduce this on any of my systems; LinuxPPC 2000, Solaris 7 and 8 and AIX (it works fine on all). You may have to run this through a debugger to find the answer. David ? Hi, [I'm running OpenDX 4.1.1 on a Linux RH 6.2 PC] I have problems generating a list of negative reals. When I enter "-1.5", the modules give me the following results: : OK, no problems : An Error window pops up with " '-1.5' is not a valid integer " : OK, no problems : A Warning window pops up with " Negative value not permitted " Question: why list-modules do not accept numbers, that are accepted by the single-number-modules. Is this a bug? How do I generate a list of negative reals? Thanks, Rob. -- . David L.
