Andrew,

What you describe is an Organiser Archetype.
An yes they belong to an reference model.
But not the ref Model EN13606 part 1.

They are derived from the meta-Archetype model.
This Organiser Archetype will define all the things you wrote.
The Organiser Archetype will be constrained from a more generic Any- 
Report Organiser Archetype.

Hi,

 

I was looking at the composition archetype for report that comes with the
archetype editor.

 

The archetype constrains a composition to include information about a
request identifier, requesting clinician, contact details, request date,
report identifier, copies to and referrals to.

Many of these things are also in common with standard tags in CDA.

 

It seems to me that many of these fields actually belong in the reference
model and not in an archetype. 

 

Does anyone think we need to extend the reference model instead?
