one center and controlling the agendas consolidated per physician
and per medical center.
  * Weekly agenda template, so physicians and assistants only need to
select an empy slot and fill some fields...
  * Multi level access: physician, assistants, call center operators...
  * Updated Invoicing

And after that...

  * Rename from oemedical to OdooMed
  * QR barcodes
  * Updated to new 8.0 features (qweb reports, new API, ...)

In the mean time, what do you think of this logo...

Re: [Openerp-community] Bug on currency_rate_update module

2014-08-01 Thread Serpent Consulting Services

Hi Hans,

If it already worked for you in past, there is no code/config issue.

I suspect its from Yahoo then! Did you try Yahoo website to see the rate?

You may give a try on the modules here
https://www.odoo.com/apps?category=&version=&search=currency+update

I recommend base_cu_yahoo!

Thanks.

The wrong rate update happen often this year.

So I wonder is it because I update the module to the latest version
which is there something wrong in the module or because we have the
connection problem with Yahoo.

company currency is CNY and base boolean is true!

The modules works good all the way!

Hi Community,

I have used currency_rate_update module, it's a great module to
update currency rate automatically.

But I found a problem, sometimes we get the wrong rate.

As for your info, my company base currency is CNY, and the bellow
image is the rate for EUR.

And we choose yahoo provider to update the currency.

Image removed by sender.

As you can see, the mark that I did is the line that has a wrong rate.

Why did this happen? Is it a bug from the module?

As my point of view, there's no problem if we failed to has the
update rate on that day, but if we get the wrong rate it's a big
problem for us.

We used this module on each our customer database, and Its very
big problem if we got this wrong rate.

Is there someone that has this kind of problem?

Thank You.

Besides its regular functionality, I am planning on using the
drop-down list for other filtering needs...  Like having there
the list of salespeople and filter by one of them (could also be
made into buttons but if there are many this could clutter the
screen...  )

In general, "old style" buttons for filtering are really missed,
as it is more complicated for users to go to the "new" search

creating buttons on the search area ?

  Hi all,

is the current state of payment integrations like ogone or adyen finsihed for OpenERP 8? I searched the Q&A website, launchpad and other sites for any info but didn't find an answer.

Background for my question: We started to implement a new payment acquirer. This payment acquirer has several payment methods like creditcard, direct debit, cod etc. If I use the current OpenERP payment acquirer implementation I have to setup a payment acquirer for each payment method. In my opinion it would be better to have only one payment acquirer with its payment methods - this solution requires changes in the core payment process.

We want to avoid the development of a new module that nobody can use later. If there are approaches for further payment implementations / updates I would be grateful for any information.

[Openerp-community] OpenERP - Evernote Integration!

2013-12-10 Thread Serpent Consulting Services

Community,

Hope everybody is busy in closing the year on a good touch!

As an another contributory effort, SerpentCS comes up with an
integration with Evernote and OpenERP. As of now, we have integrated
only the notes ( texts ) in order to come open. Attachments, videos
and other features are surely to follow.

We would like to invite community to share the thoughts and help us
improve it, and hence another integration to the beautiful OpenERP
comes into existence.

Please see

http://www.serpentcs.com/serpentcs-openerp-evernote-integration
for the Launchpad branch and video.

As a co-incindence, Have a Happy Human
Rights day to OpenSource Believers :)

Good day.

  Hi, community!

I want to announce to you one initiative that Avanzosc
  and I have launched
today: a crowdfunding campaign to migrate and enhance
modules that extend manufacturing features of OpenERP. We
have called it with the original name OpenMRP :p

Our intention is to maximize the manufacturing functionality
of OpenERP, one of the pendings, and promote it as a real
alternative for this unexplored business sector for
open-source ERPs. With that intention, Avanzosc started two
years ago the project for the version 6.0. It was a huge
improvement over the existing functionality on standard MRP.
There is also a port for version 6.1. You can find both
under the Launchpad project
  OpenMRP.

But since then, OpenERP has evolved, and there are some
areas where the difference is big (for the interface, for
example, OpenMRP was designed with GTK client in mind), and
there is a great lack in other areas, like documentation. So
I have joined Avanzosc with the purpose of increasing coding
quality, applying best practices, improving usability and
enhancing integration with the rest of the apps. That's why
we have raise this campaign, to assure enough resources to
perform these tasks completely and with the best possible
quality.

Obviously, all of this without losing the open source
nature. The final goal of the project is to add it to the
community repositories, but for this, we need to do a lot of
work before (tests, code according guidelines,
documentation, etc).

So in this occasion, I ask you to collaborate with this
initiative at least with the minimum quantity to allow us to
achieve the goals, or if you can't or if you are not
interested, just helping us to spread the word as much as
possible (making RT of our tweets, posting on
blogs, etc). You know, a little from many, it's a lot.

This is the link for the crowdfunding project: [0]. If
you want to stay tuned, we invite you to follow @openMRP [1],

where we will publish all the announcements and news about
this exciting project that we would like to success in short
time.

Thank you very much in advance.

Regards.

Does Webkit support:
* repeat table headers on next page if table runs across page break?
* move a table row to the next page, instead of breaking it in two
parts, if the full row doesn't fit on (bottom of) the first page?

These are imho absolutly essential requirements for making professional
reports/documents when it comes to legal documents like invoices.

Last time I looked into webkit these two things where missing. :(

again with contribution, just to have people in there that
take time to review and merge others work):

We agreed to remove:

  Borja López Soilán : https://launchpad.net/~borjals
  Jordi Esteve : jest...@zikzakmedia.com

  Olivier Dony: o...@tinyerp.com

  We agreed to keep:

  Raphaël Valyi : https://launchpad.net/~rvalyi

Unless someone write his discomfort here, I will remove the
named people at the end of the week. Still, they can apply
again in case their interest come back, we'll be more than
happy on that :) ! Raphaël, great to have you on board, I'm
looking forward to have your review beside ours, thanks !

2) Usage of named person instead of team. It seems that
everybody vote for that, so I would remove those following
  team:

   * Camptocamp
  Community Reviewer
   * Vauxoo Community Reviewer
       * Serpent Consulting Services

And include their actual members, which are:

  For Vauxoo:
 * Tulio Ruiz (Vauxoo) : https://launchpad.net/~truiz
 * Nhomar - Vauxoo : https://launchpad.net/~nhomar
 * Moisés López - http://www.vauxoo.com : https://launchpad.net/~moylop260
 * Isaac López Zúñiga - http://www.vauxoo.com : https://launchpad.net/~isaako34
 * hbto [Vauxoo] http://www.vauxoo.com : https://launchpad.net/~humbertoarocha

  For Camptocamp:

   * Alexandre Fayolle : https://launchpad.net/~alexandre-fayolle-c2c

   * Nicolas Bessi : https://launchpad.net/~nbessi-c2c

   * Guewen Baconnier : https://launchpad.net/~gbaconnier-c2c

   * Joël Grand-Guillaume : https://launchpad.net/~jgrandguillaume-c2c

  For Serpent Consulting Service:

   * Here I don't find any person in here as it is a login
for a single account and not a team. So please provide me
the personal account to include instead or I will have to
remove you here :(

Note that as Daniel said, everybody here is free to make
his review, even if not part of the reviewer team, so
please, join the effort !

I'll do this by the end of the week or beginning of the
next one. I really hope this will helps moving forward to
straighten the community effort.

  Best regards to you all,

Joël

I never mean here (and never will) that you do not

The thread here is about having an OpenERP Community
Reviewer team with active people in it. That's not the
same. You do contribute a lot, everybody agree on that.
But without any harm, you are not making review. That's 2
  different things.

We all had one year (a bit less) to prove our
investment here, and trust me, I do not have lot of time
in there either, but I try at least to give some time
every month for it.

So, if you say you still want to review and take time
for this, fine for me, I'm more than happy trust me !
That's a good news :)

Dear Community,

I'm concerned by having various people in the OpenERP
Community Reviewer team that didn't even make a single
comment from 2012-11-20, the date of his creation.

  I
can perfectly understand that it's difficult to make
room and find space for that, but in the meanwhile, it's
not fair to include people that doesn't take time to
review other's work. Being part of that team is a chance
but also have his responsibility.

Currently,

no rules define any approval nor removal of participant
and a minimum of contribution should be required and
define in the future. From his beginning, we just
discussed and vote through the mailing list, and so far,
  it's working.

  Here

is the list of people that are part of the Reviewer team
and never found the time to contribute (I mean to the
review process, nothing to do with their community work).
Please, do not see any shame in the following list of names,
it's just a fact and doesn't affect any skills or value:

Borja López Soilán : https://launchpad.net/~borjals
Jordi Esteve : jest...@zikzakmedia.com
  Raphaël Valyi : https://launchpad.net/~rvalyi

  Olivier Dony: o...@tinyerp.com

I suggest to give them a chance to say if they
still want to be part of the team by responding to
this email. For those who doesn't, I suggest to remove
them from the list of community reviewers.

  1) Are you agree with this ?

Then, I want to avoid having team in there, I
know we discussed that, but we also need to be fair
here. I rather prefer to have named person as member
of the reviewer team, so I'm in favor of removing:

   * Camptocamp Community Reviewer
   * Vauxoo Community Reviewer
   * Serpent Consulting Services

And replacing them by the list of person using
  their LP login.

  2) Are you agree with this ?

  Hi everybody,
OCA (the OpenERP Community Association) is on the run and this is
a good opportunity to give it a purpose and direction.
First of all I think we need to think about fund raising to build
a cash box. I am thinking of a fully voluntary fundraising system
  (similar to wikipedia for example)

What would be the purpose of this raised money?
  Several could come to mind:
  - AGM organization
  - Advertisement/communication
  - General expenses from volunteers (travel, office supplies etc.)

One goal though that I would like to achieve first would be the
creation of an official OpenERP Community Module Certification
  process.

Objective would be to certify modules with the following
  specifications:
  - Modules need to be available in the OpenERP community modules
  under AGPL or similar.
  - They are fully compatible with the current standard version of
  OpenERP
  - Coding practices are OpenERP standard, generic enough and
provided with complete documentation and unit tests (standards to
  be defined).
  - They are part of a given set and are compatible with the set of
modules (eg: extended MRP functions for OpenERP 7.0 or extended
barcoding management in OpeneRP 7 or CMMS extension for OpenERP
  7.0 etc...)

  Additional considerations:
  - Certification would be achieved within the OpenERP Community
(process and expertise to be discussed) and should be renewed for
  every OpenERP version.
  - A website/communication tool/field in __openerp__.py should
gather all certified modules so that users/company can easily know
for sure which set of modules are compatible and working according
  to professional standards.

  Your thoughts?

- 'auto_install'should be used instead of 'active' in v7.
- Are we creating a module for one field? May be its better to add this into

Just an opinion,

Having three review on the same MP can be quite difficult the reviewer number is not that big, but at midterm it seems to be a reasonable value, I'm OK with that.
For normal complexity fix 5 day seems hard to be sustainable in term of business. I will suggest three working days.

apparently we need to establish a concensus on a very concrete number of days before a proposal can be merged on projects that have joint the community review. See the discussion here: https://code.launchpad.net/~vauxoo/server-env-tools/7.0-added_o2m_handling-dev-sabrina/+merge/169103

I would like to suggest to wait at least five calendar days unless there are three approvals. Please share your opinions.

If I am not wrong, only 2 or 3 points remain to be fixed. You can take a look
at our v7 merge proposal.
You can use the latest code from that branch.

I dont want you to waste time on fixing the thigs we alrready fixed. Rather I
want you to suggest things we can improve, or you yourself can do the necessary
improvements.

With all respect towards you,

Correction AFAIK,

There is no need for multiple lines here, and also for the 'project =
task.project_id' line !

This should do:

"
def do_reopen(self, cr, uid, ids, context=None):
return self.case_set(cr, uid, ids, 'open', {}, context=context)
"

Is the {'state': 'open'} phrase needed when state is related to stage_id ?

Kindly correct if misunderstood!

Sometimes a plain web Google search is a bit ineffective.
Here is a personal advice on how I manage my "personal
OpenERP bug knowledge base": I subscribe to Launchpad OpenERP
bugs using GMail with a filter to move the bug reports into a
specific folder. Everyday, as part of the survey activity I
spend at least 30 minutes scanning the dozens of bugs reports
mailed to me (you want to know what you can sell and what you
better not sell, don't you?). Typically a thing I do on mobile
phone in the bus while going to office.
When bugs are important I star them. I also systematically
star them when they touch accounting because I'm heretic
enough to think it's the root of any ERP system. Nah I'm
kidding, apps is the key ;-p
After this, a bug search inside GMail proves to be really
efficient. Much more efficient than searching the web via
  Google, at least for me.

I think using GMail API I could share that exporting it to
some website or using the Launchpad API. Something to think
  about.

Hello,

Lionel Sausin said it quite right and each line of the email says
a lot and gives a bunch of information.

However, I would Like to add apps.openerp.com which is also a good
way for specially those who are integrators , but not purely
  technical (who don't use bzr).

It is kind of difficult for all community members to
push/share/distribute the work done to a common framework where
  all the community can see.

Even though this is difficult, the new community organization well
led by C2C, Akretion, Vauxooo, Therp, Agaplan, Domsense(Agile) and
some more(Apologies if I miss some names) is doing well. You can
  see HERE
to know more on this. (We used the blog from OpenERP and
  information from C2C. Thank them.)

Its always better to ask in Community channel, so you can get
several opinions, suggestions and accurate help from all the
  experienced Community members.

Launchpad and Forums are again useful ones !

  Thanks.

share their success stories. I think that's about all they share
on this list - they are competitors after all.
Some partners don't share anything at all (and it's OK).
There is a bigger picture however : the community is now big
enough to sustain shared development of advanced features beyond
the roadmap of OpenERP SA - check out https://launchpad.net/~openerp-community-reviewer/+participation
The community is *not only* the partners.
The community is partners + business experts + power users +

check bug report
https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-addons/+bug/1073022

The suggested fix for this problem is an ugly workaround that
would actually work in a lot more cases if it was put in the
  context_today() method itself.

The background problem is that the context is not passed on to the
workflow and the problem with fixing that is that not all methods
that are called from the workflow anticipate the context argument.
Passing the context argument could break a lot of things but now,
at the beginning of the cycle for 7.1 would actually be a great
time to update Olivier Dony's fix and merge it.

Hello Community,

I sometimes wonder whats going on with the timezone settings!

Do you face that the timezone of user does never get
considered? Its always the timezone of browser/client pc and
  UTC/GMT are considered.

In that case, the attendance entries and reports show wrong
entries! The entries done by an Indian user are always strange
when seen by an African / European administrator.

Did you ever come across such a situation? If yes,any solution
  in mind?

I observed GTK looks good, but web hurts here!

  Expecting responses, Thanks in advance.

Right. My question is not, "how do I get the latest minor-point
release of the 6.0 series", which is what lp:openobject-server/60
  is.

Rather, the question is, "how do I get a *release*". If I want
6.0, not 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 or 6.0-rc1, but *six point zero*, how do I
  do that?

In that case, you have to revert revisions from your code 6.0.4 to
the tag 6.0!

Re: [Openerp-community] How can I get the released 7.0 code from launchpad?

2013-01-06 Thread Serpent Consulting Services

Phil,

The series is always added after the code tag(that is
  https://code.launchpad.net/~openerp/openobject-server/7.0). You
may replace any version as a last section!

The Series is more related to the bugs, blueprints, changelogs,
  downloads ...as a milestone.

The URL https://launchpad.net/openobject-server/7.0 will not be
  linking to specific code branch.

As far as your question is concerned, you can pull the 7.0 code of
server/addons/web, do the changes within your local, commit it and
then push to a newer branch with this[1] pattern, so it will
create a new branch which is stacked to original branch.

  [1] bzr push
lp:~launchpad_user_name_or_team_name/project_name/name_of_new_branch_you_give
  eg. bzr push
  ~serpent-consulting-services/openobject-addons/fix-account_budget-7.0

  Hope this helps.

On Sunday 06 January 2013 11:06 PM, Phil Frost wrote:

This

I see on launchpad that there's a 7.0 *series*, and that is

openerp-web...). However, it looks like that series includes the
code that was released for 7.0, plus any bugfixes that have since
  been made.

There's also a 7.0 *release* page on launchpad, for example

  https://launchpad.net/openobject-server/7.0/7.0

but this doesn't seem to be associated with any particular
revision of code. There's no "browse code" link, and there doesn't
seem to be any tag in bzr resembling "7.0".

So, if I want to create a bzr branch from the specific revision
that was released as 7.0, how do I do that?

Re: [Openerp-community] Starts creating 7.0 series

2012-12-11 Thread Serpent Consulting Services

We started for hotel, a local branch.

Once the hotel team agrees, we will move to the branch.

Thanks Joel, superb as always, #c2c style.
On Tuesday 11 December 2012 03:55 PM, Joël Grand-Guillaume wrote:

Dear community,

I started creating the 7.0 series on some of the community projects as
we start migrate some modules. I did it without branching the 6.1
serie and I associated a brand new branch on them. The goal is here to
start including in the 7.0 serie only the migrated module. This way,
everybody will know that all modules present in a serie is supposed to
work on the designed version (here 7.0). This sounds better to me than
having all modules but not migrated.

I suggest, if everyone agree, that other people follow that same rule
and start with an empty branch. If we accepted more module with a bit
less quality on version 6.1 for the ease of each of us, we'll try to
have strong quality and well maintained community module in version
7.0. For that purpose, I also suggest that the community reviewer team
vote, through the openerp-community-revie...@lists.launchpad.net
 mailing list,
on the new module to include for serie 7.0. This could for example be
achieved by posting the link on the merge proposal to include a new
module on the community-reviewer mailing list.

We'll have to assume our devs hands-in-hands, so it sounds normal to
me that we need a majority to accept a module in one of the community
project. Let's say at least 2 votes for, people that doesn't answer
are considered as voting "yes" . If a module doesn't succeed to land
here, everyone of us is still free to release it under his own name or
company's name project.

I remind this beta script to help extract module from a bazaar branch
: https://launchpad.net/bazaar-extractor

Best regards,

Joël

@Nhomar : I made an exception on the account financial project : Here
I created the 7.0 branch from the 6.1 series and merge the last
modifications in the trunk series. I know that both of those
reports/modules will be ported by both of us in version 7, so I though
it better this way for this specific case.

Hi,

Having an experience of working and developing GTK, We would be
interested to fix any bugs or developments on GTK, but having a full

We can do a combined effort!

Hello Joël!

Fabien already gave permission- quote from his mail in this
mailing list:

"

So, let us know if someone want to maintain the GTK client so that we
can transfer the rights on the trunk branch. But if you want to do it,
be ready to assign 5 full time developers on it. Otherwise it will not
be possible for you to follow the future evolutions and you will be
trapped on old versions, just because you mis-evaluated the web client
potential.

"

So we can ask OpenERP SA, permission to transfer.

Dear all,

A little summarizing of all candidates and their status ;)

 - Vauxoo Reviewer team is now 5 people. We all agreed to trust Nhomar
here so I added them to the reviewer team.
 - Jay Vora claimed in favor of adding his team "serpent CS" instead
of his name. I also know Hussein and I can also vote for him. So as
others seems to agree, I add his team as well.

I want to remember that we accept teams as long as their maintainer
promise not to add other people inside without asking the community's
vote. *Anyone who do not follow this rule may see his whole team
removed from the OpenERP Community Reviewer. *Not to be rude here,
just a matter of trust between us all.

Then we have other candidates to vote for. Please give your voice if
you know their work/skills. I gave it to those I can :

 * Stephane Bidoul (Acsone) https://launchpad.net/~sbi

 * Niels Huylebroeck (Agaplan) https://launchpad.net/~red15

(1 endorsed him, I gave my vote)

 * Eric Caudal (Elico Corp. China) https://launchpad.net/~elicoidal

   (I voted for him)

Well, we don't actually have rules on who to accept, which will soon
be a problem. If anybody want to have a try on writing them, please do
it.

Don't forget you can also apply for on or more specific domain as well.

Best regards,

Joël

Dear Community,

Pleasure to be in this team for sure.

Jay Vora is an individual entity, Husen Daudi is an individual entity
but SerpentCS is a team. (Just the same way all of you together make a
tremendous team)

I have stopped using the Jay Vora account and planned to resume once its
karma reaches 0. Same plan applies to Husen Daudi (still owner of some
OpenERP official branches). But somehow Karma are still 3 since 3-4 months.

Please add https://launchpad.net/~serpent-consulting-services as a member.

If you consider Karma (we personally do not), SerpentCS is on top now
for OpenERP Server, 2nd in client, top 10 in addons and 2nd in OpenERP
USA. (only in a span of 1 year).

We request to add us on the basis of our contributions ever since
SerpentCS emerged. History is always interesting, but the future is
always exciting.

Thanks everyone for your support, count us with you.

Dear Experts,

We have been tweeting and posting on LP about stable related bugs(with
fixes) more often.

Being a responsible community member, SerpentCS wants to contribute to
any bugfixes asked for.

Count us as well. Sometimes, It is necessary to ask community to use
their OPW to help get the bug(s) fixed in stable.

We will keep participating in the process of cleanup of bugfixes.

Cheers and happy new Year!

That is also true for us.. we have our own stable addons branch

https://code.launchpad.net/~openbias/openobject-addons/6.1_produccion

And are thinking to make the same for the 6.1 openobject-server...

We have reported several bugs via OPW and only some of them are
already merge to the "stable" trunk, and some of them that were
resolved since MAY, haven't being merge...

The idea of growing as a community is that everyone benefits from the
contributions of the others, and if OpenERP is more occupied
developing the newer version, radder than fixing the "stable"
version, nobody is going to benefit from the bug fixing of the
community, and we will be working on isolated issues that each and
everyone of us is going to have to solve by their own way. So, a
great part of the idea of growing as a community is being put on
jeopardy.

If the bug fixes are merged on to the version 7, what about the
version 6 and 6.1 The bugs of version 6 have to be merge to
version 6, and yes also to 7...

We also are interested on joining the initiative to maintain a
community-driven stable branch.

I agree to everything.
Just want to add, accordingly, when you update many modules (e.g. bzr
pull on addons, server and web): restart server and run 'update all'
(by server command '--update=all' or GTK menu 'file -> database ->

Today we at SerpentCS were discussing to add some new features to GTK,
but are worries whether people are going to use it or not.

We still have a feeling that there is some class that still loves GTK.

OK, I did an --update=all, which helped, too.

Are there any disadvantages of upgrading all modules, other than

Hi,

this is probably a very basic question:

When I upgrade from one version to another and a model
gets a new field,
how is this field added to the database?

Example: I upgraded from nightly build
6.2dev-20120928-230101-1 to
6.2dev-20120930-230101-1. In changeset 4465 between
the versions, the
model 'ir.model.access' got a new boolean field
"active", which is not
in my database.

What do I have to do to migrate the database? (In the
Django world,
there "south", probably because of the migrating
swallows...)

Merging the branches of 2 diff versions is not a proper step forward, please
propose a merge of your own branch if you have created.

Thanks.
