[OpenIndiana-discuss] Cannot join OpenIndiana client to Samba 4 AD: Message stream modified

Hello,

I have an OpenIndiana server that I am attempting to join to a Samba 4 Active
Directory domain. I have configured NTP and DNS on OpenIndiana to point at the
domain controllers and have confirmed that timezone and date/time are in sync
with the domain. I then attempted to join the domain:
# smbadm join -u Administrator EXAMPLE.COM
After joining EXAMPLE.COM the smb service will be restarted automatically.
Would you like to continue? [no]: yes

I believe the OpenIndiana machine is not sending back the proper sequence number
in the KPASSWD changepw request. How can I successfully join this machine to the
domain?

[OpenIndiana-discuss] Timeslider apparently intermitten; What to do about reluctant timeslider

But did not receive any suggestions for troubleshooting.

I've been checking since then and have discovered it apparently works
intermittently. but only a few snapshots are taken.

I'm pretty sure that was following a reboot and time-slider worked for
a short time.  The reboot was not related to timeslider investigation
and I didn't think to immediately check how timeslider was performing.

But did notice the Timeslider icon in upper right of Mate desktop quit
flashing, but then started up again after a .5 hr or so.

But then in some locations I see a regular (the expected) progression
of snaps.

I'd really really like to get it working... after all it is one of the
big plus's for running OI/hipster.

Checking time-slider log I see dozens of lines like these, but for
some unfathomable reason the lines are not dated so not able to
pinpoint when this happens:

I see there are regular consecutive time-slider created logs at
/.zfs/snapshot/*   But not in many other locations... whereas
time-slider is configured for `ALL'

How can I trouble shoot this?

Yet, there is one thing that is said that is true in the message and IS 
related to OI and illumos..


It is for sure true that operating systems, e.g. Free software is meant 
for all the people.
(Does not matter is different countries legislation actually recognize 
and protect copyleft policies, it is available to use for everyone)


So rules of free software (as in freedom) use are not meant for just 
some people, that someone might like, and not meant for those that 
someone might not like..

So the requests to "please ban _this_ or _that_ user" is invalid.

Requests to explain simple rules of being on topic are always valid.
Because people forget , because new people come and it is always better 
to explain and help, then to prosecute.


So that said, personal prosecution is also off topic. :)
(As is in private conversations if one is an civilized human). 
Unfortunately this one is not always followed in the community..

Internet and discourses I hear a lot of controversy from Ukraine about the
fact that America has created much that Russia only can steal and dalle a
lot of foul language. I so do not think that ordinary American so spoke
about Russia, I never argued that the operational system was created by
Americans, in general something revolutionary is being done, and then it is
simply adopted in circles and science can not belong to any nation. For
example, my homeland of the inventor of the radio looks like a modest city,
