Hi Sebastian,

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

In the meanwhile i have manually created a folder named fonts and I've
copied there all the fonts from my windows/fonts. This action did not
help

as port the standard port is 5080

Re: Is it possible to customise the email messages that are sent to the users?

2010-03-10 Thread Sebastian Wagner
hi,

the mails are merged from a template:
http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/singlewebapp/src/templates/

http://openmeetings.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/singlewebapp/src/templates/register_verification_mail.vm

$labelid510 => will be replaced with the labelid 510

To change the labels you can do that at runtime but to change the
template you need to compile via the ant command.

hi,

I think you're almost done.
To start stop red5 you double click the red5.bat or run red5.sh

JAVA_HOME must be set and point to a JDK6 runtime.

Somebody did report lately a problem with the database scheme update,
let me know if you run into similar.

Re: Only images are show in Whiteboard out of a doc

2010-03-10 Thread John Davis

Did you compile the libraires for these apps or did you get them
already built. It wasn't easy to get these tools built correctly and
working in my Linux installation. But, I know all the requirement
must be met for everything to work correctly. That includes the
correct libraries being compiled into the conversion applications.
Otherwise you will have problems...

Re: Only images are show in Whiteboard out of a doc

2010-03-10 Thread romfeo
1. Open office is correctly converting the document to PDF format!
2. PDF2SWF part of the SWFtools converts the pdf to swf but only
images are shown on the whiteboard. Any text written in the document
is not visible on the Whiteboard. Text is visible on the thumbnails on
the left of the page.
3. There is nothing in the log files to indicate an error during the
conversion.

My system runs WIndows Server 2008 and has 2GB of RAM.

Re: Only images are show in Whiteboard out of a doc

2010-03-10 Thread John Davis

Soem things to check, the conversion goes thru several apps. Open
Office is responsible for most of the document conversion then it is
passed off to swftools to convert to swf format. ImageMagick converts
the image formats. Make sure Open Office is started as in the wiki,
and that you have the correct version, I would say 3.0 or higher.
Check the logs for errors , one of the steps may have failed along the
way.

 OpenOffice
 Swftools
 ImageMagic

If you are recording then also must have ffmpeg.

I am able to upload and convert documents.
My problem is that while in the thumbnails of the document (doc,

letters are being show!

It's pointed at the main mail server from within OM but I'm thinking there

I need help with the openmeetings installation, company wide issue

2010-03-10 Thread sid
Good morning,

We have a MS SQL server 2005 and I was trying to install openmeetings.
I changed the hibernate.cfg.xml file properties as follows:

**
**

com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
org.hibernate.dialect.SQLServerDialect
jdbc:sqlserver://
209.17.190.95:455;databaseName=openmeetings;autoReconnect=true;useUnicode=true;createDatabaseIfNotExist=true;characterEncoding=utf8

Am I doing this right? Or do I need to change this settings? Also I
have downloaded the sqljdbc.jar file in the WEBAPPS\WEB-INF\LIB
folder. The instructions says restart your Red5 server. How do I do
that? What command do I need to put in?

Also Step 5 of the installation says "5.go to the Installer by
accessing it via browser: http://$rmpthostlocal/openmeetings/install
and follow the instructions "...what exactly is this?

All inputs on my above queries will be highly appreciated. I sincerely
thank all people providing your valuable inputs in advance.

Thanks
Sid Moitra

Re: Screen sharing app log file

2010-03-10 Thread John Davis

It would be part of the logback configuration in the application. If
you Run the applet and don't do a save as you should not get the log
folder. If you save the JNLP to your desktop and then run it you get
the log file. If you don't want the logging then you will have to
comment out the code that creates it, I think in logback.xml.

Not sure if that will work but, I think that it will.

Re: screensharing

2010-03-10 Thread John Davis
I have OM installed and running quite nicely, bandwidth is suitable if
not better than some commercial web meetings.

In regard to Java Webstart, I have used several web meeting clients
and most require you to load an application to capture the desktop.
The big difference is that OM is Open Source, you do the math.

I've removed 3 copies of the screen sharing app from my Java cache and then
managed to unload it from Add/Remove programs. When I go back into it for the
first time I get the following Java error:

If I close the browser and reconnect it works fine but I still have the log
folder on my desktop being created. I don't have any Java logging or debugging
turned on so what else could be creating this folder and the error and red5
files?

Actually, a folder does get created with logs in it. But, this is not
created by openmeetings it is created by settings in the Java Console
on your computer. Open control panel, click on Java to open the
console, click on advanced, expand teh debugging node and uncheck the
enable log settings.

It should not create a log folder. This is also only created if you
save the JNLP and run it, I do not think logging is invoked if you run
the file without saving it.
