Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Hi Evgeniy, there are two ways to bind Red5 behind Apache. One is using mod_jk the other one is using mod_proxy. (Or you use both of them). However it is some time ago that I have configured mod_jk. Also I think there was a mod_jk2 version. You need to enable something on the Red5 (Tomcat) side too to make it work. But I think you will only be able to handle HTTP requests through that, RTMP and RTMPT won't work. Sebastian 2010/9/7 Evgeniy Voevodin voevodi...@gmail.com I've found notes saying that I need Red5 in either way. Could please someone advise on how to manage Red5 to work under Apache \Tomcat and configure Red5 to be accessible via web? Scheduling error with 1.4
Running openmeetings rc1.4 on opensuse 11.3 I created a user and gave him moderator access. He is trying to schedule a meeting for later this evening, but when he goes to save the meeting, the server gives errors like this: DEBUG 09-08 11:20:54.921 AppointmentLogic.java 1804358 348 org.openmeetings.app.data.calendar.management.AppointmentLogic [Red5_Scheduler_Worker-8] - Meeting is not in Reminder Range! And his openmeetings window effectively becomes non-responsive. I, as an administrator account, can schedule meetings w/o a problem. Any ideas? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group. To post to this group, send email to openmeetings-u...@googlegroups.com. Hi Jazz, there must be some other kind of Issue with the Reminder, try to use iCal or and repeat it. The User-Level actually has nothing to do with the problem. Re: Scheduling error with 1.4
That meeting was using an iCal reminder. As you know, it defaults to that - user did not change it. Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Dear Sebastian, Thank you for your reply. The hosting support team refuses to give me remote access or the ability to execute commands, so I have access to my webroot only, the server is Tomcat\Apache with mod_jk as mentioned above. Could you please tell me if it is possible to install openmeetings under these circumstances or having access to the server's system is mandatory? Maybe someone has any experience with installing openmeetings on some hosting or I should have a serv? O would appreciate any thoughts Thank you -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group. Without beeing able to execute commands on the Server this is almost impossible. How do you start openmeetings or the open-office service it all if you cannot execute any commands? Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Dear Sebastian, Actually I was hoping that having Tomcat\mod_jk on the server solves all the problems, but being unable to avoid Red5 it seems like yes, I am screwed. Dear Sebastian, Sorry for bothering you again but I have managed to get SSH access to my hosting place. Re: Install openmeetings with Apache Tomcat mod_jk
Dear Sebastian, Thank you for your patience, It seems like Red5 tends to listen everything on port 5080 and it should not be a problem. But could you please help me with the next one: I am running Red Hat 6.2 on the server, I have mysql there and installed openjdk via yum recently. My Red5 throws an exeption (I have found it in the error log file) com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLNonTransientConnectionException: Could not create connection to database server I have checked hibernate.cfg.xml - it is okay, all credentials are on its place. I have tried to use mysql from the console with these credentials and it works perfectly but Red5 is unable to connect to mysql with them. Could that be a Java error, maybe I have installed wrong package? The interface throws an error NetConnection.connect.failed while trying rtmpt://educateouryouth.com:8088/openmeetings/hibernate . What could be the problem? Did everything what Installation notes told me to do Much appreciated for your time and help! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups OpenMeetings User group.
