[Opensim-dev] OpenSimulator Meetup Frankfurt

2012-06-16 Thread Marcus Alexander Link
Hi everyone,

Volker Gässler posted lately the announcement of their monthly OpenSim
meetup in Zürich.

Offering the opportunity to also collaborate in RL (physically) results
often in a boost of creativity
and further collaboration - for the benefit of the underlying project/cause
itself.
Therefore - I prepare to start a monthly meeting in Frankfurt/Main -
starting July 2012.

What:
Monthly OpenSimulator Meetup (MOM)
When: 1st Saturdays
Time: http://www.doodle.com/w4r9z99g2nh2su8m (7 pm estimated)
Where: Frankfurt
Temporary location: Westerbachstraße 47, Building 9, 60489 Frankfurt
For further information please contact Marcus A. Link (aka Fim Fischer):

German:

Die Idee aufgreifend, starte ich ein monatliches Meetup in Frankfurt -
weitere 'Kollaborateure' sind willkommen.

Re: [Opensim-dev] Changing HUD for all accounts

2011-09-21 Thread Marcus Alexander Link
Hello Kevin,

that sounds promising. I still would like to have that possibility.
Please continue. If you could create a wiki page for the module on
OpenSimulator.org, I would drop in once in a while.
The wiki discussion pages are great to get feedback.

Thank you in advance,
Marcus

Thx Justin, Bo, for the advice. I am going to try the "ONE MySql query" route.

Re: [Opensim-dev] Translating VRML for use in OPENSIM

2011-07-24 Thread Marcus Alexander Link
Hi,

you could say the IRC channel #opensim is the hangout for coders.
If someone has information, news that could be of interest for ppl who
are "following" the twitter hashtag #opensim (often also coders), they
add it to their tweet.

Posts via twitter are "more generally" related to the OpenSim/3D
Internet/Metaverse topic.
But you are right, twitter is some type of "asynchronous chat", with a
persistent chat history.

Marcus
