Why do you think all those from the list were removed due to a bug in app reviewer? [orkut-developer] Apps Being Flagged as Malicious
Hi Orkut Developers, Thanks for pointing out the issue with some applications being incorrectly flagged as malicious. There was an issue in AppReviewer that caused a few false positives to occur, and as a result some of your applications may have been taken down. The problem was fixed and things should be back to normal now. Please resubmit any applications that were taken down incorrectly and they will be reviewed by the corrected version of AppReviewer as soon as possible. It is not a matter of resubmit removed apps, because that's impossible. Once it's set at desconhecido, you cannot do anything to set an XML as a valid app again. What matter more here is the installed users of old applications, and not new apps. Orkut team should reflag them as whitelisted, else ALL these application had lost thousands of users forever because of a bug. Ah, that's true. Some apps may go to the unknown (desconhecido) state due to an unrelated bug. We'll fix that as soon as possible so you can resubmit apps. In the long term, having to submit each XML again it's OK. However, I did nothing and my apps were removed, so it makes more sense if orkut team restores them manually and runs the reviewer, because this is urgent. How long it will take to fix the resubmission? People are losing A LOT of pageviews ($$$) since Saturday, and each second without the apps counts.
