Re: [osol-discuss] solaris cluster & opensolaris2008.05 libDtTerm issu
A recommendation to improve usability with regard to the underlying issue (non-redistributable binaries). Feel free to close/comment/ discuss. http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=1971 Description: Every other week there is a post on a *-discuss list with regard to a package which will not run because a library is missing and the solution is typically an explanation the package will not work because of this. I would like to propose that these packages be flagged so that a notice can prompt the user to become aware that the package being installed will not function. In addition, I would recommend a site where a list of these flagged packages could be viewed by users, as this site could be used and referred to on mailing lists and in documentation. The objective of this proposed enhancement is to increase the usability of OpenSolaris by better informing users of functional expectations. [osol-discuss] solaris cluster & opensolaris2008.05 libDtTerm issue
Hi all, I have just installed opensolaris20008.05. I also installed suncluster 3.2 console (SUNWccon). When I try to run the ccsonsole binary I get: ld.so.1: cconsole: fatal: libDtTerm.so.2: open failed: No such file or directory This is an issue with libDtTerm which is not included in opensolaris20008.05. I also tried installing the cluster console from clusterexpress (2/08) with no luck. This one too searches for the same library. Any ideas? thnx This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

An "svcadmn restart nwam" brings back the connection for a while, but it's far from being stable. Cheers, Frank ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org

[osol-discuss] Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG and T61P
On a T61P with a 3945ABG wifi device (pci8086,4227) running snv_86, wpi0 comes up and even connects sometimes but it's very unstable. The connection generally hangs or comes in and out to the point of being useless. On my local access point using wpa or one that's public, more frequently than not I get the error message: "dladm: cannot connect: operation timed out." Sometimes the same dladm command will connect. Similarly, using NWAM, it'll connect on boot but more often than not, I'll get error messages, something about not being able to set the power. Is wpi0 known to be flakey? Has anyone seen wpi0 working well? Thanks. This message posted from opensolaris.org ___ opensolaris-discuss mailing list opensolaris-discuss@opensolaris.org
