Through my D-Link KVM-221 G9 also didn't work, but there is the problem that
this KVM emulate ps/2 instead of support full USB standard and D-Link didn't
write anything about this in manual.
My G9 work in 2009.06 from snv_111b to snv_117 normally, but from snv_118 till
nowadays builds it has very strange problem.

Hi,

Somebody was able to get a G7 to work. this method may also work on a G9:

"LoadModule: "mouse"
(II) Loading /usr/X11/lib/modules/input/mouse_drv.so
(II) Module mouse: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
compiled for 6.9.0, module version = 1.0.3
Module class: X.Org XInput Driver
ABI class: X.Org XInput driver, version 0.5"

Just to report I can confirm to the letter your description of G9.
However It never worked for me... not on 2009.06 of any build up to
b 134 and not on openindian b 147...

I may note that my normal usage is thru a KVM switch... but I also
plugged directly into the machine with no better luck.

But I bought the mouse for graphics work with adobe tools on windows
OS and was very disappointed with it. It sucks for graphics work, no
matter how weighted or which shell is on it, so I didn't mind
relegating it to emergency backup status and sticking with razor pro
click 1.6.

Hi.
I'm already tried to switch keyboard with mouse, tried to leave only mouse
connected, tried to connect mouse to another USB port but all the same.
You didn't see discrete keyboard being detected because my keyboard connect
through KVM, but mouse connect directly to PC USB. (i'm already tried to
disconnect KVM - it didn't influenced on this situation).

My keyboard: A4Tech Slim.

I emailed oracle couple weeks ago and this the site they pointed me to for my
non sun/oracle unit if it has 1-4 sockets:

"Oracle Solaris Premier Subscription for Non-Oracle Hardware (1-4 socket
server)"

https://shop.oracle.com/pls/ostore/f?p=ostore:product:3069427866567251::NO:RP,3:P3_LPI,P3_PROD_HIER_ID:27242443094470222098916,6916016290451192110906

if it's a sun unit then you may go to:

more info on solaris contract:
