try to do a
hcitool scan
on commandline

and to get info or connection via hcitool

my Moto L2 worked after switching it visible
 several times
till my MSI-SUSE10.2-Notebook asked for the Bluetooth-passkey which is
default

solution 4 the last 2 Bugs i had:

1. resolves a Java-Bug:
sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g'
/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so

2. corrects the links which Roger mentioned
/usr/sbin/update-alternatives --auto javaplugin
/usr/sbin/update-alternatives --auto javac
/usr/sbin/update-alternatives --auto java

But please give us the output if you type
java
on commandline!

i also like it, but think i can help:
(yes i saw the smiley beneath your initial question ;-) )

give your konqui a URL of:
/usr/lib/ooo-2.0/program/*.bmp

and simply change the openintro_suse.bmp
into the bmp of your choice

kde-look.org offers a variety of Splash-Screens
if you dont have the old one any more

OK, i was patient and recognized the update of
/OpenOffice.org:/UNSTABLE/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/
from 2007-07-14

Thanks 4 this, but the packages dont work because it installs into
another folder(/usr/share) than the rest(/usr/lib)

You have to do a

rpm -Uvh
--relocate=/usr/share=/usr/lib OpenOffice_org-de-2.2.99.211-2.1.noarch.rpm

after downloading it.

i personally prefer Gwenview ang KSquirrel
which support both the KIPI Plugins too
(KSquirrel is available on Packman repo)

[opensuse] SMP kernel

hi,

talking about repo:
Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_Factory/

is there a reason or can anyone explain
why there is a SMP kernel in i586
and no one in x86_64

is this a bug or is the default version in x86_64 the SMP version?

(reason 4 my question: i am planning to upgrade to dualcore CPU
and asking me what kernel to use)

thanks

only to fill my info-gap:
why is i586 kernel divided into SMP and default?
or: why the x68_64 is not?

if the answer is too long, philosophical or technical:
 give me a link, please

http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp?StoreId=22&PartDetailId=jre-1.5.0_10-oth-JPR&SiteId=JSC&TransactionId=noreg
which is the download site from sun
