No. Forwarding is just for new mails.
I prefer imap.

What about back email to the Dec 12. Will I get this and all more recent if I turn on fowarding?? To me gmail is backup for myrealbox which has failed and is apprently not delivering email though I can post from there but not receive. Unfortunately Messaging Archetects is out until next year so no joy on Myrealbox. The pop settings on my account were disabled. this fixed the problem. I guess its like the tab setting on Firefox getting turned back on with some of the updates.
