Seems like with the trouble you are having, it would just be best to start fresh with Konq. Reinstalling won't help, since you'll still be using your same old user settings. You could also create a new user, where a new .kde directory will be set up, then you can test. regards, Lee -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [opensuse] UNKNOWN FORMAT FOR JPEGS IN KONQUEROR (How do I repair Konqueror)
I all ready tried the solution below before I asked this post and it didn't work. All of my photos, when opened in Konqueror, are read as text messages instead of photos and this happens globally, not just with a few random photos. I was going to try to uninstall/reinstall konqueror to see if it fixes the problem, but i get warnings about dependency issue if I remove konqueror, so I am hesitant to do it. -Steve jdd wrote: > Chris & Steve wrote: >> Hi guys, >> I am new to this community help thing, so please bare with me... >> >> I can't view jpegs in Konqueror. Yes I probably could have but it was more a reference to the fact that the post wasn't just the same question, it was the *very* same question that was asked yesterday, word for word the same question, identical in every way including being signed by someone called Steve, the only difference being the first one was sent by Chris & Steve & this one was sent just by Chris - but still signed by Steve :) David -- FLOSS - Not just for your teeth - Free Linux Open Source Software -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Chris, Look at http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2007-04/ and use the search box at the top right and you'll soon be finding answers to many problems while learning to use openSUSE. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

When I do a properties in konqueror, for "format" it is unknown. I think it is looking at the jpegs as a text document. What settings do I need to change back for konqueror to see my jpegs as photos again, instead of text documents ? -Steve -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
