don't see money everywhere... We have all over the wiki comment on
makes, HP, toshiba, dell...

we can hold comment on small boards as long as, like it's done here',
they explain how to make these works with opensuse

 Hi,

a Release Candidate of the download page is available now, too:

 Happy fedbacking ;-)

Standard PC looks quite odd for me.
I think It's worth to replace it with 32 bit PC, since a bulk of modern
processors support 64bit (aren't they standard?)

Looks really great. The only thing I still have to say is that base CD
4-5 _are_ optional, not necessary/needed for a normal installation, so
I think they should be moved into the optional category.

Kind thoughts,

The fact is that some other open source projects look for sponsors,
openSUSE at the moment don't need that, but if someone comes and want to

I would not say that. openSUSE can/will also gain from having more sponsors.

we actually have no place, nor procedure how to do that. There is no one
they can contact for conditions, or I missed some recent development.

Then you missed it, there exist conditions and the best way to contact is
described on http://en.opensuse.org/Contact

very smart :-)

two notes:

dl cd's, the 5 cd's are quoted needed. basically only the first is
really needed and we are working in this direction

I know... but letting the instruction howto burn an image at the end
will lead of nobody reading it (may be no even seeing it).

you should write _on top of the images_:

iso images to be burned as such, not as data file (and link to the
bottom

it's not visible immédiately that the links are iso images

finally, I hope than the mirror choosing mechanism will be enhanced.
notice that the localization can be tedious: When I tried (right now),
I was directed to the cict, a data center 10 km from my house, but
the data path goes as far as Paris before coming back to me :-(

could it be possible to use the dns data? My ISP have an openSUSE
morror, certainly much better for me

Looking real good.

Can we perhaps find a way to help people wanting to buy a box set in Europe?
Or at least mention in the text that Europeans can buy the nice box at
national resellers.

for France, the easier choice... is Novell store

Hi,
thanks to your great feedback (a special thanks to Christian
Boltz, who discovered most bugs) I managed to eliminate hopefully
all bugs from the new wiki skin and now proudly present the first
Release Candidate on

http://en.test.opensuse.org/
At the moment I know of only one open issue:
- the logo display when using very small font sizes in Gecko/
KHTML browsers (not sure whether this is resolvable at all)

BTW: An RC1 for download.opensuse.org will follow ASAP.

very nice.

may be for a future skin, but I don't know how it's possible in
Mediawiki, PmWiki triad skin have a switch for visually impaired
people

here in french
http://www.culte.org/pmwiki/?n=Main.HomePage?
setview=standardsetfontsize=90

in english:
http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/TriadSkin
(look at the buttons big view, text size)

we _have_ to think a lot at such solutions, computers are often a
salvation for such people (We have an impaired center near our LUG
and many visually impaired people with us)

I absolutely agree. Accessibility is a very important point!
We should implement something like this in future (future != 'when we
have nothing else to do' ;-).

That should not be so hard.
