Hi Mark & Jack,

I think it is really hardware related issue while I didn’t have this kind of
problems with both LG and Samsung monitors. It is probably about HP.

I never got Thinstation to work properly or at least I had issues regarding
some functions I really needed, even that smart card redirection does not form
fully for me in Openthinclient yet.

I have the same problem with some HP all in one types, reported this problem in
this list but received no comments.

I use Thinstation now for these computers without any graphical issues but it
takes more time to load.

Subject: [openthinclient-user] video black with curser

Hi,

We have been running on Openthinclient successfully for several years now,
using various PC's. It works great.

Recently we started an upgrade project to use the Consus appliance. Here are
show-stopper video problems we run into:

display works while booting, but as soon as it goes into graphic mode the
screen goes black with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner.

I've tried out a number of monitors, as well as a variety of Openthinclient
settings. The old system works so well. What am I missing with the new system?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

my intention is to start a thin-client into a rdp-session.

I set freerdp to autostart and my device to autologon.

So far so good, it works.

But, the desktop and taskbar is still in background and visible for few seconds
when the freeRDP-App is restart.

In OTC 1.0 there was a possibility to avoid this situation.

There you can add the desktop app and change the settings to
„windowmanager:no“, „taskbar:no“ and „desktopmanager:no“.

This settings don’t exists in 2.0.

Is there an option in 2.0 to create the same behaviour like in 1.0?

Best regards,

Jan

Hi

Today our OpenThinClient server stopped working.
After some research I found some folders that include thousands of "*.cal"
files.
/opt/openthinclient/server/default/data/nfs/home//.local/share/rdesktop/licenses/XX.cal

After I have delete this files the server starts again without problems.
Now every day runns a cronjob:
find /opt/openthinclient/server/default/data/nfs/home/ -name "*.cal" -type f
-exec rm {} \;

But I see in the logs that the server tries to load this files (at server
start):

It seems open thin client saves somewhere that this files someday existed.
There wehre ~800k *.cal files. So the server takes relatively long to start and
this blows up the logfile with useless information.
Can I somehow remove this entrys from the db or whereever the server saves

[openthinclient-user] Sound Problem

2014-04-24 Thread Tomás D . Zandoná - Mig-PLUS
Hello!
What is the right way to enable only the sound of the thinclient, but not to
enable the access to the pendrive?
If I disable the "media", the sound doesn´t work too.

Thanks!

[openthinclient-user] Updates

2014-03-25 Thread Tomás D . Zandoná - Mig-PLUS
Hello!
I´m testing the OTC Appliance...
Should we have to update the OS with "Start/System/Update Manager", or not??
Will we have problems doing this??
Thanks.

Re: [openthinclient-user] Automatic PowerOff

2013-10-03 Thread Tomás D . Zandoná - Mig-PLUS
Sure!!!

On "Applications", select your "RDP" connection, and in the configuration tab,
there is an option callled "ExitAction". In this option you have to set
"Shutdown device".

This config will power off the thinclient when the user logs off.
After, I think the best way to force the users to logoff on the RDP Server is
with GPO. I never did this kind of GPO, so you have to research how to do this.
Here in my work I don´t have a policy to force at a specific time, but I have
configurated the session of the RDP to logoff on idle for some time.
I hope I have been clear and have helped.

Thanks for your answer.

Can you write my some lines where I find these options?

Thanks,

Andreas

Hallo,

can I create something like a scheduled task to power off a thinclient
at a certain time?

Thanks,
