Not sure about your "update the NVTs without interrupting any ongoing scans" question. I would suggest to do a short test on your own. Hi all, whats the proper process to update the NVTs without interrupting any ongoing scans in OpenVAS9. I'm thinking its the following, but trying to confirm. # Make sure the opevassd (openvas scanner) process is running and issue the command: greenbone-nvt-sync # Make sure the openvasmd (openvas manager) process is running and issue the command openvasmd --rebuild --progress The question is, will this process interrupt the current scans running, if not, is it the most efficient way to upgrade NVTs?
