What about intel-pod18 or huawei-pod12. They currently run Joid jobs, but with
Fraser release done and development for Joid stopped, maybe one of these can be
repurposed.

should not be used for testing installers or for running installer CI jobs. I’m
not sure what “Auto CI” means exactly, if that relies on a stable openstack

Have you looked at other Intel pods? I only know of 2 that are used (12 and 19)

Hi Intel and Huawei Lab Owners,

The Auto project is looking for an x86 POD for running CI jobs on and
I'm reaching out to see if you have any available resources they could
use.

I see Intel POD 19 may be available (now that plugtest is over), and
Huawei POD 6 says it's IDLE. Could either of these or any other PODs be
made available for Auto's CI jobs?

P.S. Trevor Cooper, I just remembered we discussed possibly using POD 19
for test projects, though I don't recall if we reached a decision on
that.

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] [compass] Virtual install on single node

2018-04-17 Thread wutianwei
Hi Mark,

If you have a single node, you could try the virtual deployment quick start,
more information refer to the wiki page[1].
When virtual deployment, there are no requirement about multiple physical
networks, but need access to Internet.
btw, it is necessary to launch VMs, and each VM need 8vCPU and 16 GB memory as
default.
The ha scenarios need 5 VMs, and the noha scenarios need 2 VMs. So the single
node need a powerful performance.

Hello,

What are the requirements for deploying compass in a virtual environment. I am
trying to use the LaaS pods, and I only have one IP address for management.
Therefore, there is no provider network. Can I just create a non-routed
interface on one of the unused NICs, or do I need to have multiple physical
networks in place? Alternatively, should I create a VM with the networks in
place and use that for all the deployments?

Hi Tianwei,

MS5 does not require stable branch jenkins jobs to exist. They can be created
early but should be disabled as they will fail until the branch exists (MS6 -
March 16th).

I started this patch[1] related to automating the branch creation. I haven't
updated it with the automation scripts, a jenkins job, or documentation yet,
but will do so soon.

The idea is that projects will add the git commit of where they want
stable/branch to start, and this automatically create 2 things:

 1) The stable branch in Gerrit
 2) The stable branch jobs in Jenkins

#1 Should be easy to automate, but currently I'm not sure of a good way forward
for #2 (It involves modifying the yaml files with either a regex or using a
yaml parsing library, and there are edge-case issues with both approaches)

Trevor Bramwell
