Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] Hunter reelease community awards #hunter # release #awards

2019-06-18 Thread fuqiao
Hi, all.
I would like to nominate my intern Li Biyi. He is from Beijing University of
Posts and Telecommunications. And his intern project is NFV feature testing in
Yardstick. This project aims to improve NFV related feature design for
yardstick, including NUMA awareness, CPU pinning, SR-IOV. These test cases are
quite important for a Telco-grade NFVi. He started his internship in July, 2018
and spent six mouths with us to complete this project. He finished eighteen
test cases and four HA test cases in ipv4 and ipv6 environments respectively.
And all of test cases had been tested successfully in the China Mobile OPNFV
Test lab now. His work has greatly enriched yardstick's NFV features.

2019-06-17 Thread cedric.ollivier via Lists.Opnfv.Org
Hello,

I would like to nominate Juha Kosonen (Nokia) for Testing.
He fully deserves that award regarding his constant and key contributions to
Functest releases.

Juha has always driven our Rally-based testcases in the best ways and a huge
part of his contributions is upstream conforming to our OPNFV leitmitiv:
"Upstream First!".
He increases purposefully the overall Functest quality and contributes to the
main challenges.
We also do also recognize the number of his reviews required by the activity in
Functest.

I would like to nominate Bin Hu for an award. Although I am not participating
in the OPNFV work anymore, I have been following the mailing lists and some
meetings, and Bin Hu has done excellent work in driving the project forward
despite changing fashions that has left the project with fewer resources than
before. Bin Hu has also organized the community call every week since the
beginning of OPNFV, and I do have some idea about how hard that is...

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] Hunter reelease community awards #hunter # release #awards

2019-06-05 Thread limingjiang
Hi all,

I would like to nominate Dan as candidate of Community support/leadership award.
Dan has been PTL of Dovetail for the Hunter release, and she has plenty of
contributions both on OVP and CVC.
With Dan’s leadership, we can see that more products pass OVP NFVi 2018.9 and
the new release are on the way.

  *   Nominees name: Dan Xu
  *   Nominees organization: Huawei
  *   Nominees e-mail address: xuda...@huawei.com
  *   Award Category: Community support/leadership
Best Regards,
Rex Lee

Re: [opnfv-tech-discuss] Hunter reelease community awards #hunter # release #awards

2019-06-03 Thread Tapio Tallgren
Hi,

Definitely agree with Cedric's nomination!

I would like to nominate
  *   Nominees name: Tomi Juvonen
  *   Nominees organization: Nokia
  *   Nominees e-mail address: tomi.juvo...@nokia.com
  * Award Category (see list above): “Integration"
  * Brief nominating statement explaining why the individual deserves an
award: Tomi has been working on the rolling maintenance and upgrade feature in
OpenStack for many years, and the capability has been demonstrated lately in
the LF Networking stand in ONS NA. The work is done now mainly in the OpenStack
project Fenix (that Tomi started himself) but it has been integrated in OPNFV
Doctor -- hence the category is integration. There is an ongoing discussion to
support ETSI-specified interfaces in Fenix, and the project has raised the
interest of operators with huge OpenStack installations. Fenix now supports
OpenStack Tacker and Vitrage, and there is discussion about Blazar requirements.
The OPNFV Doctor project is one of the oldest OPNFV projects, it is being
actively developed, and it has been and can be demoed at industry events. It
also implements a solution to an important use case that will become more
relevant as OpenStack installations mature.

Many people have done a great job, and deserve the recognition. I am
particularly amazed by one developer after I saw the Bitergia data. Here is my
nomination:

  *   Nominees name: Cedric Ollivier
  *   Nominees organization: Orange
  *   Nominees e-mail address: cedric.olliv...@orange.com
  * Award Category (see list above): “Code development” and “Testing” (2
categories)
  * Brief nominating statement explaining why the individual deserves an
award:
 * In the past six month, he has contributed ~42% of commits of overall
community (902/2162) based on Bitergia data I just saw.
 * One person with 40%+ of commits shows me his dedication, and how great
he has contributed to the community.
Thank you for consideration

Team,

With the Hunter 8.0 release behind us. I'd like to kick off the nomination
period for community awards. Per the community awards procedure, we have
the following award categories (with the number of winners in parentheses).

   - Code development (3)
   - Community support/leadership (3)
   - Integration (3)
   - Testing (3)
   - Interns (2)

Please send your nominations for the above categories by responding to this
email by 12 noon, Pacific, on June 7.

In your nomination, please specify:

   - Nominees name
   - Nominees organization
   - Nominees e-mail address
   - Award Category (see list above)

After I receive the nominations, I'll send a SurveyMonkey link to the
tech-discuss list for voting.

Unfortunately, there is not sufficient time prior to the LFN DDF+Plugfest
to complete the nomination and vote, so the award winners will be announced
via email some time in the second half of June.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

David
