Must be comfortable in a team environment but also self-motivated.  Must be
able to manage your time well and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
We are looking for highly technical, well spoken, eager individuals with
numerous years of experience in a large enterprise environment.
Certificates (i.e. CCNA/CCNP) are a plus but not required if the candidate
possess the hands on experience that would be equivalent.

General Responsibilities and required fundamental knowledge:

•   Perform day to day troubleshooting of network issues Layer 1- 7
•   WAN, LAN, WLAN, VOIP setup and troubleshooting
•   Routing and Switching
•   Switch port configurations
•   Router configurations
•   Security and ASA configurations
•   Site to site VPN tunnels on ASA
•   Understanding of various protocols including BGP, EIGRP, HSRP,
VRRP
•   Daily interaction with our users and business partners.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills a must
•   Travel possible when we have hardware deployments
•   Overnight or after hours work possible as with any network job
but not the norm
4 year college degree or equivalent technical study (Experience out weighs
lack of degree)

Routing with emphasis on EIGRP and BGP protocols with multi VRF designs

personPROJECT DESCRIPTION:  The WMS system is a distributed implementation
with part of the application residing on ES7000 servers running a
proprietary version of UNIX. Most of the consultants are responsible for
supporting the network in NYC which interfaces between the UNIX servers and
the Unisys 2200 mainframe, support of the UNIX proprietary operating system
on these servers and the application. The remaining staff provides
production control support to HRA on the 2200 mainframe. These consultants
have specific Unisys mainframe skill sets to be able to set up and execute
batch processes on the mainframe on behalf of HRA.Tasks  Duties•
Large-scale network administration tracking both WAN and LAN performance.•
Configure, install and maintain WAN and LAN network equipment including
Nortel, Juniper and Cisco routers, switches and VPNs.•  Perform Cable
Management, including pulling, terminating and troubleshooting Cat 5/5e/6
and Fiber.•  Liaise with multiple New York State and New York City agencies
to coordinate the installation and de-installation of New York State
networking equipment at various locations in the 5 boroughs and Long
Island.•  Manage the activities of service providers such as Verizon,
Annese, Century Link, Time Warner and Light Tower when
installing/de-installing equipment and troubleshooting existing equipment
and circuits.•  Report to upper management to provide progress reports on
on-going projects, plan for future projects.Minimum 8 Years Experience in
large-scale network administration tracking both WAN and LAN performance
using the following network tools: Zenoss Core, Netdisco, Network General
Infinistream•  Minimum 8 Years Experience configuring, installing and
maintaining WAN and LAN network equipment including  Nortel, Juniper and
Cisco routers, switches and VPNs.•  Minimum 8Years Experience performing
Cable Management including pulling, terminating and troubleshooting Cat
5/5e/6 and Fiber.•  Minimum 5 Years Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for
