RE: Followup to jobs not running
That did not help. It takes longer to error out, but it is still failing. I can set the same jobs up for the sys user and they run without problems. I am not sure why the system user is the owner of the jobs and since I am the only DBA here this afternoon, I will have to wait until next week to find out if there is a reason for not moving them to sys. If anyone else has any ideas, I am still open to suggestions. Re: Followup to jobs not running
You may have already got the answer, but if your job is selecting candidate tables or schemas from dba_tables or dba_???, then you have to grant select on them to system specifically. System gets the select privilege from the role DBA and not directly. I have a similar job that runs under a different user than sys. and I had to grant select on dba_tables to user grant analyze any to user Steve - Original Message - To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 28, 2003 2:29 PM Yes.
