It ain't just you. it distracts me from being able to read more quickly because my brain must translate this c-r-a-p.

It's not cute, it is just down right annoying. I always figured it was just me and just tried to ignore. Glad to hear I am not the only one.

JoJo, i'm also not a HiFi DBA like those few, and my purpose of being in
the list is to gain more knowledge. What i feel is that nobody has the
right to be arrogant, just bcoz the question is below their dignity to
answer. It wastes their time but if they only want complex questions
they shud form their own mailing lists.

having said that, what i feel is that you shud do a bit of RTFM
rather than getting a cooked answer becuase that helps in ur
development too. who knows trying to find an answer to one query u
may hit upon new things in the manuals.

Yer jist not lookin at it from tha rite perspective. Take a look at rock
lyrics...

'Cause I'm the only one who'll walk across the fire for you

Now translate it literally into French...

'rseque Je'm le seulement on qui'll march une croix un feu pour tu

Modify it so it rhymes (classic element of rock lyrics)

And *POOF* hours of entertainment for yourself and your Francophile friends!

Luf,
Bambi.

I can read this and
think, "Oh, this is pretty funny!", but tell me folks, why do some of you go out
of your way to humiliate others (whether you are "right" or "wrong")?
Don't you have anything better to do?

JoJo,

Eric
did remove the senders name from the post. You also have to understand
that Eric is a fairly direct communicator, just his style. He also warned
you that it was a rant. Besides, I understand he's recently given up
pepper.

Cultural facts I am afraid. I dislike it as much as French without
accent but most Indians for instance (but not only them) will use this
'speed writing'. I remember a Singaporean Chinese who was typing at an
incredible speed but whom I have never seen writing anything but 'u' for
'you'. But who do you think set a bad example? 'While U wait'? 'Toys R
Us'? As a British friend of mine says 'The day when I see Fish'n Chips
that's when I begin planting bombs'.
