SUMMARY

The QA Automation Developer is responsible for assisting with the creation
and execution of automated testing during the development, SQA, and
production cycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties

§Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs software
development procedures used to verify that programs function according to
user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines: Writes, revises,
and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and
product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and
efficiently.
§Contribute to design of automated test framework.
§Develop and execute test protocols, document results, and communicate
with developers.
§Must be able to work on a collaborative team using scrum
methodologies.  Must be able to participate during the requirements phases
through to the release phase.  Must be able to work closely with developers
on each sprint.
§Utilize issue tracking system to record results, identify new needs,
and triage quality assurance concerns (JIRA)
§Ability to review functional and design specifications to ensure full
understanding of individual deliverables.
§Ability to perform backend database testing in Microsoft SQL
environment including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers.
§Develop, document and maintain functional test cases
§Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test
results.
§Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design
specifications and requirements.
§Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
§Maintain and troubleshoot problems that stem from page design or
browser interpretation of page programming.
§Reviews computer operating log to identify program processing errors.
§Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
§Develop, maintain and promote excellent customer service at all times.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
§  Minimum 5 to 7 years software QA experience, preferably backend testing
§  Ability to script and execute test cases
§  SQL proficiency
§  Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a computer science field recommended.

Demonstrate professional behavior that supports team effort and enhances
team behavior, performance and productivity.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
§  Must have excellent organizational skills.
§  Must have working knowledge of: basic .net framework, XML, classic ASP,
IIS config, C#, CSS, understanding of different browsers.
§  Understanding of Object Oriented programming
§  Understanding of Visual Studio.net (Team Developer edition)
§  Understanding use of Team Foundation Server 2013
§  Understanding of Unit Test Harnesses (NUnit and Team Foundation Testing)

to bring Carquest's AR (Oracle) into AAP's AR (PeopleSoft).

Role is 100% focused on AR.

They currently have 100+ requirements/pain points that this resource will
be responsible for consolidation them.

The majority of the requirements are focused on eBilling & statements
between the 2 companies.

This role will be responsible for getting more color around the current
requirements and presenting them to IT/Business Users to determine which
requirements are 'nice to haves' and which need to be prioritized
immediately.

One area where they are having performance issues us around AR
batching...Ask if they are familiar with AR batching/running performance
tests around the batching process.

Many of the requirements gathering sessions will be done via phone, email,
and webex, because many of the users sit in Raleigh (Carquest location).

Project is 9.2, but 9.1 is OK.

Candidates should be experts in requirements gathering, writing specs, and
UAT testing...they should also have some config experience as they'll be
asked to support the business users who do the configurations.

NOTE - this is NOT a Functional Config resource.

This is a BA who should understand how the configurations affect the
upstream and downstream business processes.

 Day-to-Day based on phase of project -

Gathering requirements, determining what they are and how the system works.
Understanding the statements work and then performing the consolidations &

developer designs new or complementary solutions for transformed
environments, implements solutions, and troubleshoots any residual issues
post implementation. The APEX developer will concentrate on detailed APEX
development related duties such as application architecture, application
design and extraneous dependencies. The APEX developer performs application
design reviews managing towards best practices and standards and may help
develop detailed logical data models and application frameworks for
internal and customer facing APEX applications. APEX developer must have
the ability to architect, design, install, and configure large, complex
APEX applications with replication and high-availability on several Oracle
versions and APEX versions (5X and 4X). APEX developer must have the
ability to migrate existing applications, pages and code modules thru
dev/qa/prod instances and experience migrating entire applications to new
APEX environments. Support activities include analyzing, testing, and
implementing application designs to support various business applications
of DCOP and its customers. Familiarity with Hardware and Operating Systems
is needed to complete this job function.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Independently manage all aspects related to Oracle APEX development and
support.

• Develop application in an Oracle Apex 5X environment

• Customize generic Apex applications for customer facing and modify as
necessary

• Maintain best practice development standards and maximize reusable code

• Work with client and when appropriate it’s customers to define detailed
