is 2GB in size. I have done the mysql static/dynamic
stuff too. Beyond that should i tweak any thing more?

installation has about 3,00,000 tickets put in it.
There are about 3000 tickets created a day by 300
concurrent users.
The total size of the database(mysql)is 2GB. At any
time there are atleast 5000 Open tickets in the
system.
The System is working fine without any problems.
OTRS is amazing!

I have now been using OTRS for 8 months, our
installation has about 3,00,000 tickets. There are
about 3000 tickets created a day by 300 concurrent.
The total size of the database(mysql)is 2GB. At any
time there are atleast 5000 Open tickets in the
system.

As both the DB and concurrent users are increasing day
by day, I was wondering if I should tweak apache?? Any
Idea of what needs to be tweaked in Apache?
Anybody with a similar installation size?, please
share thoghts.

[otrs] OTRS on Mandriva 2006 :: @INC Error

Hello All,  I am in the process of installing OTRS(.tar.gz) on a Mandriva 2006. Hello Priya,     I think there is a problem with you server...  the disc /opt might be full...  so OTRS is not able to write the file... TicketCounter.log... [default: open]    $Self->{PostmasterFollowUpState} = 'open';  As we see the default setting is open; change this to the desired state...  This should work.. [otrs] Customer Login --- Company Tickets

Hello Everybody,     In the customer login, I see that "Company Tickets" is always Zero. I have two customers with the same Customer ID (lets say, each has created one ticket), implying that they are from the same company. I have a crude out of the box solution...  Why not you ask them to mail all the tickets to your system's email id and thus get them all into your Postmaster queue. Each of the mail(foreign Ticket) will be asigned a new ticket number...  Big alternative: Use wsdl (Web Services Defination Language) and Provide Web Service to the Forign System.  I think OTRS Developers need to create this kind of service interface... Hi Pim,  In my case "Tickets available" is always greater than "All tickets" and on clicking "All tickets" I dont see any ticket..??!!. Hello Everybody,     There are two things, "Tickets available" and "All tickets". These are shown just beside the page numbers that pop up when there are many tickets in a particular queue(Top Left)... Some times they both are the same number but some times they both are unequal with "Tickets available" > "All tickets" What is the difference between "Tickets available" and "All tickets"?? [otrs] How to stop all kinds of Agent Notifications??

Hello All,  I am using OTRS-2.0.2. I have not selected any "Mail Notification" stuff in my preferences page, then too I get this email notification about "Add Note" i.e. whenever somebody adds a note to a ticket, I get a email Notification. [otrs] ZZZAAuto.pm -- What is this??

Hello Everybody,  I am using OTRS-2.02. I have observed the following:Initially when OTRS is installed there is no ZZZAAuto.pm  If I click on "SysConfig" in "Admin Area" then a file named ZZZAAuto.pm is created in "/opt/otrs/Kernel/Config/Files/"  If you again click on the "SysConfig" link then ZZZAAuto.pm gets reverted back.  It holds a lot of configuration stuff. It is very similar to Ticket.pm in content  My Doubt: Can I proceed to make configuration changes to this file??     Regards  KartheeK

[otrs] Closed Tickets keep on ageing-Why is this?

Hello Everybody,
I have been using OTRS for quiet a somtime now-Its Beautiful.
One thing i have observed is, closed tickets keep on ageing. Why is this? Ideally when a ticket closes it is as though its "life" is finished, then why its age should increase? I dont think its the same with other systems like Vantive and Remedy.
Any body with inputs on this??

[otrs] Why do the names of the queues blink? and "ExpandTicketZoom" Problem

Hell0 All,

I have implimented OTRS-2.0.2 on my machine.I have
some doubts to be clarified.
1] Why do the names of some queues in the "Queue View"
screen blink all the time.
2] In the File Ticket.pm, I have enabled "Expand Zoom
Ticket". This expands all the notes added by agents in
the ticket Zoom View. However the right hand side of
the screen that has customer info,Compose
Answer,Change queue repeate itself again and agin in
the screen. How do I stop it??

"while creating a phone ticket, the agent who is creating the ticket should become the owner by default, eventhough he is not selecting himself as the owner while creating the ticket."
