Thanx. I've compiled a new version and that's working like a charm!

But I've stumbled into another problem. On Windows XP and Windows 8 I just
can't get the client to upload files.
On Os X uploading works fine.

Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.3.0 beta 1

2013-05-24 Thread Lukas Fiala

The same by me.
Example: I tried to copy several files into the OwnCloud folder.
Nothing happened on server, files are no uploaded and in details I can see
Errors concerning copying,

Another weird thing is that after a change of a folder name (in a Windows
client) when I look to the folder in www browser, there is no right
content, there is root (clientsync) of instead.

E.g. I have renamed a folder which was originally test to test go and
that contains several files in Windows client. When I look to www owncloud
I see the renamed folder, but when I try to explore it, there is not the
right content (0 files), it jumps to clientsync folder.

Are there any restrictions concerning the folders' names?

Lukas

Re: [Owncloud] LDAP users and LDAP-authenticated SMB storage

2013-05-24 Thread Vieri
Thanks.
Nice to know I'm not the only one with these problems ;-)

By the way, I solved the problem with mounting external smb storage because I
was specifying \\smbserver instead of smbserver. I guess owncloud could
automatically strip off the \\ or any other non-alphanumeric character for that
matter (for those users like me who thought it was necessary to use these url
prefixes). Anyway, this is a lesser issue compared to the rest.

Thanks again

Vieri

  Hi,

I'm new to owncloud and just trying it out.

I've enabled user LDAP authentication. The LDAP server
 is Active Directory.

My ownCloud LDAP web config contains:

  LDAP BASIC:
      host: domain.org
      base dn: cn=users,dc=domain,dc=org
      User Login Filter:
 sAMAccountName=%uid
      User List Filter:
 objectClass=person
  ADVANCED:
      DIRECTORY SETTINGS:
          User Display Name
 Field: displayname
          Base User Tree:
 cn=users,dc=hospitalmanacor,dc=org

When I go to USERS I can see a listing of all AD
 users within OwnCloud.
However, I can't do the following:

  - I can only list the first 40 or so users but there's
no way I can list more (I have around a 1000 entries in AD).
Is there a next page button I'm unable to find? Is there a
search field I can use to search for a particular user
within LDAP (tried the search field in the top-right corner
 but didn't work)
  - When listing all users, the second column (Display
Name) correctly displays the displayName attribute.
However, the first column (Login Name) shows a long ID
 string such as 0B0F75C7-FCE9-458A-8D58-B8E9CB3F71A7 when
it really should be displaying the user login name (eg.
 value of sAMAccountName).

In any case, AD user authentication works when trying
to login from the OwnCloud login page.

Also, LDAP works fine but LDAPS doesn't. I have a
self-signed AD server certificate and it's listening on the
standard 636 port. I tried host: ldaps://domain.org with and
without Advanced/Use TLS but it gave me a connection OK
but Bind failure even if I Turn off SSL certificate
 validation. Any ideas?

Finally, I'd like each AD user to mount an external
 directory via SMB/CIFS.
From the server command line where ownCloud is
installed, I know I can run something like:
  smbclient //inf-bl05/usuaris -U username
  and it works fine.
However, if I go to Personal within the user's
 owncloud web UI and set:
  External Storage - SMB/CIFS - Configuration:
 \\smbserver - username - userpassword -
 smbsharename - /username
the user is unable to access the SMB share when
 clicking on ownCloud's Files icon.

What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this?

Also, can the ownCloud Admin setup a default SMB
external storage for EVERY AD/LDAP user that logs into
ownCloud but would require the user's credentials?
For example, suppose \\smbserver\users is a share that
contains several user home directories. Obviously there's a
subdir for each user within this share with adequate
 permissions.
I'd like ownCloud Admin to define the external
storage  \\smbserver\users for everyone but each user
will then have to login with his/her credentials in order to
 access their private folders within.
  Is this possible?

  Thanks,

With AD this should work fine. You just need to scroll down, so the next users

resize the window so that scroll bars appear for a workaround.

Hi,

there is a user at the community forums which reports the same. Seems that:

http://apps.owncloud.com/updater.php

which is checked for a new version in lib/updater.php just returns an empty
xml string. Thats probably the reason why the new version isn't recognized.

Brice, are you checking out the new appframework for the Bookmarks app
btw? Would be pretty cool to have that app also be in standardized
 interaction.

Left app navigation would have the groups/tags and right content the list
 of bookmarks.
Filter search bar would also be inside the app on top of the lists,
filtering as you type, much like now. And no need to limit the results.

Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.3.0 beta 1

2013-05-24 Thread Thomas Müller
You need to grant the iis user full access to c windows temp

As an alternative you can specify another folder in the php.ini
Access needs to be granted as well.

When I add a file through local client sync folder by copying, the file does
not appear in web interface.  I look at the server file directory and see the
file added with a .part extension.

The following error appears in OC logs:

Re: [Owncloud] ownCloud Client 1.3.0 beta 1

2013-05-24 Thread Aren Shank
I'm doing more testing hoping to figure out why my client has so much
trouble syncing. If I copy a file to the client sync folder, the file
never appears in web interface. in the client logwindow i see these lines
about the specific file i copy to the sync folder.

05-24 13:14:32:065 Update start

05-24 13:14:32:065 csync_ftw: Incoming read_from_db-Flag for
D:/Users/xx\ownCloud: 0

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_ftw: .csync_journal.db excluded

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_ftw: .csync_journal.db.ctmp excluded

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_vio_stat: Win32: STAT-inode for
D:/Users/xx\ownCloud/Aurora Aircraft Bearings.pdf: 96301

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_ftw: Uniq ID read from Database: Aurora Aircraft
Bearings.pdf - NULL

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_ftw: walk: D:/Users/xx\ownCloud/Aurora Aircraft
Bearings.pdf

05-24 13:14:32:066 csync_walker: file: D:/Users/xx\ownCloud/Aurora Aircraft
Bearings.pdf

05-24 13:14:32:066 _csync_detect_update: file: Aurora Aircraft Bearings.pdf
- hash 12421366975971303586, mtime: 1312580808

05-24 13:14:32:067 csync_statedb_get_stat_by_hash: No result record found
for phash = 12421366975971303586

05-24 13:14:32:067 _csync_detect_update: file: Aurora Aircraft
Bearings.pdf, instruction: INSTRUCTION_NEW

then further down

05-24 13:14:32:651 _csync_merge_algorithm_visitor: INSTRUCTION_NEW file:
Aurora Aircraft Bearings.pdf

These lines get repeated every time the client tries to sync.

I get no errors in owncloud or php logs. and I don't see the file get saved
to the server file system. Am I doing something wrong?

thanks for helping the newb
