Re: [PacketFence-users] Cheap AP
Hello Fabrice We were happy to see that the latest Ubiquity controller finally implement radius and Mac-Auth on open SSID. However, in that configuration, it seems the controller doesn't support dynamic VLAN assignement : the radius message send by packetfence is ignored by the controller. So it seems close indeed, but not yet possible to use packetfence + ubiquity controller with MAC-AUTH (except if you have found some way to do it ... ) Regards - Mail original - > De: "Fabrice Durand via PacketFence-users" > > À: packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Cc: "Fabrice Durand" > Envoyé: Mardi 10 Octobre 2017 17:17:28 > Objet: Re: [PacketFence-users] Cheap AP > Hello Spencer, > you can try with AP that support openwrt, also there is a Ubiquity controller > that can manage Ubiquity AP and we are close to support MAC-AUTH and 802.1x > with this setup. > Regards > Fabrice -- Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot___ PacketFence-users mailing list PacketFence-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/packetfence-users
Re: [PacketFence-users] Cheap AP
Hello Spencer, you can try with AP that support openwrt, also there is a Ubiquity controller that can manage Ubiquity AP and we are close to support MAC-AUTH and 802.1x with this setup. Re: [PacketFence-users] Cheap AP
It sounds like you may want to use a simple inline deployment on a dedicated guest SSID, and any AP that you can buy should work in this configuration... -Arthur - Arthur Emerson III Email: emer...@msmc.edu<mailto:emer...@msmc.edu> Network Administrator InterNIC: AE81 Mount Saint Mary College MaBell: (845) 561-0800 Ext. 3109 330 Powell Ave.Fax:(845) 562-6762 Newburgh, NY 12550SneakerNet: Aquinas Hall Room 008-A From: Spencer Hazell via PacketFence-users <mailto:packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Reply: packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net <mailto:packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Date: October 10, 2017 at 8:56:22 AM To: packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net <mailto:packetfence-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Cc: Spencer Hazell <mailto:shaz...@manderduffill.com> Subject: [PacketFence-users] Cheap AP Hi Can you point me in the direction of a cheap AP (preferably fat – as I guess it cheaper) that will work?
