Re: Portable CD/MP3 Player Help & Recommendations Please
Hello, I don't know what kind of features you're looking for, or how much you're willing to spend, but the RioVolt SP250 is still around as used units. It's not being made officially anymore, but EBay and Amazon have plenty of them. Hear my audio review on it from Main Menu at www.ACBRadio.org then go to on demand, then main menu, and search down the page for my name. Click on the show date, and use the B key in Winamp to skip segments. Thanks a lot. Matthew Tired of HotMail? Try Runbox. 1 gig of storage for a reasonable price. Re: Keystroke for Selecting single channel in Sound Forge
You can go to whatever part of the file you want with the arrow, ctrl-arrow, pgup ctrl-pgup, and pg-down, ctrl-pg-down keys. Adding ctrl means more movement. You can also play the file and hit return where you want to stop. You can also use ctrl-g (goto), followed by time in hours, minutes, seconds, and fractions of seconds down to 3 decimal places. Tab moves you between channels--both, left, and right--repeats. Find the segment you want and use the keys to move you to where it ends.. Copy it to the clipboard. Close the file you're using or make a new window and paste your file in that. Alt-, n, to make a new window. You might need to use the ctrl-n to set the sound attributes to mono. Which of these methods you use depends on what you want to do. Hope this gets you on your way. There is a sf-users list if you need more detailed info. , - Original Message - From: "Peter Scanlon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, July 30, 2004 6:51 PM Subject: Keystroke for Selecting single channel in Sound Forge > I now have the Sound Forge Manual thanks to some members of the list. > > Perhaps someone can help by telling me how I can select a part of a left or > right channel using keystrokes. I'd get an iRiver IMP-700T. It has a radio and a lot of its functions can be used without having to go into its menu system. iRiver has announced, that the next firmware version for the 700T will support OGG Vorbis. I'm not quite sure, whether this relatively new iRiver player is available in the U. S. Yet. Peter, Below is a script that I use in conjunction with the snowman's scripts. You will need to put the scrip in the default scripts and edit the default jkm to add a key stroke. Script SFfindChannel () var string str ; check that we are running sound forge ; if not pass F8 through to the system let str = GetAppTitle () if ( str != "Sony Sound Forge 7.0" ) then say ( "F8", OT_STATUS) {F8} return endIf ; check that we are in a edit window if ( GetWindowClass (GetFocus ()) != "ForgeDataClass" ) then say ( "Dummy you are not in a edit window", OT_STATUS ) return endIf ; go get text from the status line let str = GetWindowText (GetNextWindow (GetParent (GetParent (GetFocus (, false) ; check to see if there is data in the edit window if ( StringContains (str, "00:00:00.000" ) ) then say ( "You fuck up there is no data in the edit window", OT_STATUS) return endIf ; check the file to see that the file is stereo if ( StringContains (str, "Mono")) then say ( "You fool this is a Mono file", OT_STATUS ) return endIf ; to tab or not to tab ; if no tab then the script will tell you what is selected right, left or both channels ; if tab then the script will switch to next selection and tell you what channel right, left or both TabKey () SpeechOff () ; go to the selection sub menu {control+shift+d} ; select the set channel menue {alt+c} pause () ;find out what is active right, left or both let str = GetWindowText (GetFocus (), false) ; back to the edit window {esc} SpeechOn () ; tell the user what channel is active say ( str, OT_STATUS ) EndScript Louie -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Peter Scanlon Sent: Friday, July 30, 2004 3:52 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Keystroke for Selecting single channel in Sound Forge I now have the Sound Forge Manual thanks to some members of the list. yes, yes, and yeah. it's extremely accessible, plenty of keyboard commands. very easy to move within big files, it has a jump to dialogue like winamp, and you can reverse and forward from incraments as little as a tenth of a second to as high as 15 minutes. clipping files is a breze MSN [EMAIL PROTECTED] You forgot to do your backup 16 days ago. questions about putting stuff from cassetts to mp3's or to regular cd's
Okay first of all pleas keep in mind that I am a novice when it comes to this audio stuff. I actually have two questions: 1. I received a Spanish Bible on cassette and want to turn it in to MP3's to put on my computer and my Archos. What do I need and how do I do it? 2. My Dad wants to put his messages that he teaches at church from cassette to CD. What do we need and how do we do that? For both of these I am assuming I can use goldwave and that its accessible with jaws. What else do I need to buy and how do I go about doing both of these things? Portable CD/MP3 Player Help & Recommendations Please
Well it looks like Sony has discontinued the model D-NF610. They've got a model D-NF600, but all of its custom play functions are now in a menu combined with a lot of other choices. Does anyone know where I can still purchase a new D-NF610, or who might be making a comparable model? Amazon.com doesn't have anymore of the 610's. I'm looking for the same features, quality, and ease of the Sony D-NF610, just not all of the menu work found in the 600. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. It's the same version. If you install the new version over your old version it'll recognize that you already have a winamp pro key installed. This has always worked just fine for me. Cheers.
