Re: which version of Nero is the screen reader favorite?

2005-06-04 Thread Yardbird
P.S.

Cancel that request. I just found a very positive review of Nero Version 6
Ultra at

http://www.accesswatch.info/reviewdisplay.php?pid=13&PHPSESSID=2a652adccfc51dfd6dd396d0ca6e822f

And now I'm clear about this. Thanks to anyone who was about to post.

Subject: which version of Nero is the screen reader favorite?

I'm considering getting myself a copy of Nero for my rip and burn program.
But As I look at the Nero site, the current version seems to be called Nero
Ultra. It doesn't seem as if that's the name of the version that everyone
mentions that they're using with Jaws or Window Eyes (I'm a Jaws user). And
I'd want to make sure I was getting the one that is most Jaws friendly.

What's the version number and name of the right one? I went to the JFW Lite
programs page expecting to find scripts for Nero there, and maybe learn
which version to get, but a Find for Nero turned up nothing on that page, to
my surprise. People were just saying recently that there are scripts there
for both Nero and for the Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator prior to the most recent
version (Roxio Easy Media Creator).

Advice will be appreciated. There seems to be more than one Nero out there,
and I'd like to know which one to consider buying.

Hi Jim. I downloaded the TC Conference 4 Thursday night when I was at
billsparks.org. I was able to use IVocalize, but now I can't get back into
the chat rooms because I uninstalled IVocalize, and it says something like
"page not found." I'll try to look again.

A question about mp3 direct cut

2005-06-04 Thread Donald L. Roberts
Hello,

I am using mp3 Direct cut 2.0 beta. Can any user of this product tell
me precisely how to set a manual cue point. I know how to auto cue.

Let me clarify. I am recording books from tape and wish to split these
into smaller files for the benefit of my portable mp3 player whose fast
forward is not too fast. But I want to avoid marks in the middle of a
sentence. So I wish to place the cue points manually and subsequently
split that file at the cue points. So can anyone please tell me step
by step how to place the manual cue points. I know how to do the rest.
  Thanks.

Don Roberts

How to rip with Real Player info here

--> MAKING MUSIC WITH REAL'S RAX FORMAT
John called from Nashville, TN, to ask about RAX files. I didn't
have
time to take his call but I don't like to leave anyone hanging.
So, let me
answer him right here. He downloaded the files from the
RealPlayer
Music Store. He wanted to know if they can be burned to a CD.

These files end in RAX, in the form Filename.RAX. They contain
digital
rights management encryption, so they cannot be copied.

They certainly can be burned, John. Either the free RealPlayer
or the
RealPlayer Plus will do the job. RealPlayer Plus is $20, and has
more
features than the free version. You can get either at:
http://www.real.com/

Here's how you burn a CD in the free RealPlayer: Select the
Burn/
Transfer tab. On the left, click Burn a CD. Under Tasks, click
Select
CD Type (Audio CD). In the pop-up, select Audio CD and click OK.

Click Add Tracks from My Library. Find your music. Click Edit
Options.
Select any options that your prefer. Click Burn Your CD.

Restoring Ivocalize

2005-06-04 Thread Gary Wood
Hi all. I inadvertently removed the Ivocalize client. Now I can't get back
into the chat rooms that use it. Apparently I shouldn't have removed it. It's
supposed to automatically download when you enter a room, but now, it won't do
that; so how can I go into System Restore to take this computer back to before
I uninstalled Ivocalize? Thanks for any help.
