Re: Replay Shortcuts
Hi to the list, I also am curious to know which version of ReplayAv has added these shortcut keys. I don't seem to be able to get any of these shortcut keys to work, but the program is working beautifully in every other respect. ASF files seem to be very happy to play in Winamp. When I press the update button, there appears to be a progress bar that is stuck at 0 percent. I am using Replay A/V 7.04 Thanks. - Original Message - From: "Jeff Bishop" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "'PC audio discussion list. Re: My Review of DVD Audio Extractor
Hi Jonathan Will this program extract music from Audio DVDs. I bought a couple of these a while ago and wanted to rip the music into Itunes or a wav/mp3 format. There are hundreds of tracks on this DVD and it would be great if the program could rip each track into a wav or mp3 file and put in each's title/ artist etc. If it can't do this, do you know of any other DVD ripping program which would do what I am looking for. If possible, could some out there, who has used this product to burn CD's, give me the steps, using JAWS, to best record my music to disc. thanks very much for your help. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Hi TJ From what I hear, XM plans to start 4 more channels which will be commercial-free music ones to off-set the ones that do. That way we'll still have the same number of commercial-free ones as we did before. I don't know when these channels will launch or the formats they'll have, but that's the information that's out there floating around on the net. RE: another Replay A/V question
Hi Allison, just arrow to the show you want to modify in the list of shows, and press enter. You can very easily change the encoding to MP3 there on the first tab. Dr. Laura's time is correct in the guide. I know this because I recorded it today from KFI. You can just skip past the news. the problem is not the presence of the spots, its the presidence it sets. RE: Recorder
May I ask if it is a stupidity, where can I find the recorder tab in the volume control? I'm using Windows XP PRO. I searched but didn't find it. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dean Martineau Sent: Thursday, March 09, 2006 8:24 AM To: PC audio discussion list. Subject: Re: Recorder Julie, there are lots of ways to do what you want to do. People have been talking a lot about Replay AV and that program lets you record online radio programs onto your hard drive while you still work at the computer. If you want to just capture a short bit of JAWS speaing, you can use windows Sound Recorder. To do this, first you have to go into the windows volume control, into the recording properties, and check the box for the stereo mixer or What you Hear setting. Then, once you turn on the recorder, whatever JAWS says will be recorded. You can do this same thing better with a sound editor called Goldwave or with a free sound editor called Wavepad. the tool you choose will depend on what you want to accomplish. I hope this helps. Keep asking questions and also trying to figure it out by experimenting with the information you get in the answers. What version of Winamp are you using? Windows Media Player is driving me crazy, help. Replay Shortcuts
Hi everone, It's nice to be back on the list after about a year's hiatus. Here's my problem. I am running windows 2000 service pack 4 so all should be in order. Suddenly, I can not access any of the cbs/infinity stations, example, knx1070.com, kcbs.com etc. When I click the listen links I get an error message saying the file can not be found. After clicking ok in a frustrated fit of grumbling, I get a second error message saying that my internet connection appears to be lost and to refresh the page after I'm reconnected. Of course I have not lost my internet connection, it seems that the embedded player on the page and the actual windows media player, series 9 by the way, can't communicate and link up or whatever they do. I found a workaround for this problem. I established another account on the computer, and when I go to that one, everything works as it should. I usually run as administrator. So what Have I done to screw up mediaplayer in my main account? Any ideas? Thanks. Re: dvd review
Hi Kurt You may have missed it before, last night I posted the direct link to the mp3 file of the review of DVD Audio Extractor. One more time, it can be gotten from http://jmosen.audioblog.com/deluge/ef1bc12e-0cd2-dea8-8da3-f06e0c5f3f55.mp3 Yes, lots of gibberish in there, but that's the direct link. To get these other reviews and other things Jonathan records, subscribe to the Mosen ExplosionBloggy Bits Podcast. Open up your Podcatching software like Juice Receiver, remember this does not work with Internet Explorer. But open up your Podcatching software and then copy and paste the following address into it, by first hitting control plus n. http://jmosen.audioblog.com/rss/mosenexplosionbloggybitts.xml not sure about all this podcast stuff? then press enter on the following link, and Internet explorer will take you to a page that explains everything about Podcasting. http://www.mosenexplosion.com/podcasts.html hope that helps. Re: replay success
hi Kurt I just had a thought, not sure if this makes any difference. In most of your posts, you mention using "Replay", and not "Replay AV", there is a slight difference between the 2 programs. ReplayRadio will *only* record from your sound card, whereas Replay AV will capture the stream as an mp3 without interupting your sound card while the recording is happening. When you install Replay AV, you also get a demo copy of Replay Radio to try. So if you've been trying to use Replay Radio, that may be why you might be experiencing some of the problems. Then again, if you've been using Replay AV all along, thenjust ignore this message here. Just thought I'd throw that clarification out there for anybody else who might be confused by the 2 programs. Re: Recorder
Julie, there are lots of ways to do what you want to do. Keep asking questions and also trying to figure it out by experimenting with the information you get in the answers. replay success
Well, I got replay working well last night. First, I checked and made sure all streams were MP3. Next, and most labor intensive, I put BBC7 in hour by hour starting from midnight my time so that I could go back and look at the folders. I won't actually know if they all worked until Friday, but I am happy with the results. It looks like they all got converted to MP3 and although my wife isn't happy about it because it took about three hours, I certainly feel a sense of accomplishment. Anyway, I may cut back on the MP3 settings a little, but this was a really good test. One of the messages said check the raw stream and I think that was part of the problem. Also, I had some success but very slow copying programs to MP3 with the copy utility. There is also a hot key list buried somewhere in there you might want to look at. Anyway, I already feel this thing has paid for itself in allowing me to customize so much. It makes it so easy, when it works, that it is very much worth the $49. Now I can record programs I would otherwise miss and have them to listen to and in nice folders. I just wanted to let everybody know. In comparison to easy CD creator, absolutely. When I first got nero back in 2001 I found it to be the most user friendly CD burning program I'd ever seen and the entire thing was accessible no matter what screen reading program you ran.
