RE: unusual question

2006-08-09 Thread Warren French
Hi.

First I am assuming the keyboard is gunna send the computer a midi file.

So the first thing to do will be to transfer that format to mp3 and I don't
know how one does that.

Then I am assuming to transfer it to the phone you're gunna have to send it
from the computer via email and or sms to the phone.

Hi!

No you shouldn't need to put it on the net first; Once you've recorded the
tone/ music, and put it into the right format for the phone ring tone (sorry

don't know what it is for that model), then you should have some kind of
cable connection to connect the phone to the PC, and can just transfer the
music file to the phone memeory putting it in the right directory/folder;
should be something like 'sounds', then a subfolder called 'Tones' I
think... hope that helps; I do this a lot on my nokia 6630 from .wav files
of music tracks I rip of CDs and cut down to make short samples that I then
transfer onto the phones memory card or the phone memory itself...

Re: audio file repair help needed

2006-08-09 Thread Bruce Toews
Unlikely, I'm afraid. Distortion is the hardest thing to remove from a
sound. You might have some success fiddling with equalizer settings, but
you're very unlikely to be able to get rid of the distortion.

Replay AV help

2006-08-09 Thread Robin G. Plitt
HI,

It looks to me like you are trying to record a proprietary stream. I don't
this Replay AV can record that stream.

I followed the link to Mac Users, and there are two other stream available.
Look for a description for If you prefer not to use the embedded streams.

There you will find links to a Windows stream ending in .asx and a Real
Audio link ending in .ram.

Hope this works for you,
Robin
ps If you find out about that Replay AV list, I'd like to know about it too.

Problem with Updated Winamp Scripts

2006-08-09 Thread Jonathan Mosen
Hi all, I've finally gotten around to installing the updated Winamp scripts
as I use the Media library to rip in Winamp. Now however, whenever I press
control-shift-T to hear the time remaining, or any of the other time
commands, I get told that these functions only work in the Winamp Main
Window and the Playlist Editor, even though I am in the Winamp Main Window.
If I open the Playlist Editor, these commands do work. Has anyone seen this
and is there a work-around, otherwise I'll go back to the version of the
scripts that ship with JAWS and an earlier version of Winamp.

Avoid the Realplayer file types selection window, altogether. Highlight an

the program you want to open MP3s, and make sure the always use this
program check box is checked.

I think Chris was seeing the same thing. He and Jim were going back and
forth about that because it didn't seem to make sense.

If I open the Playlist Editor, these commands do work. Has anyone seen

I can't speak to the issue with any kind of authority, since I never use
the Winamp library.

Re: Problem with Updated Winamp Scripts

2006-08-09 Thread Mac Norins
Jonathan,

I have had a similar problem, wherein I was trying to use the SQR Disc
Writer plug in, to burn a CD with cross fades, from a created playlist. I
could not make a CD that a sighted person or anyone else could advance the
tracks, on a car CD player or any other CD player, for that matter! I had to
create one big wave file! Michael Goren suggested going back to version
5.09E; will that create any security problems? Not to get off topic, from
what you are trying to do, but, this seems to be a real problem, that cannot
be solved, in version 5.24, within the Media Library; what do you suggest?
Nero or something?

Thanks,

-Mac-
