Juice

2008-10-02 Thread Marvin Hunkin
Hi.
i notice, that if i select a feed, like the office web casts from
http://www.microsoft.com that , when i try to look for new feeds, some of
the feeds do not download.
so was wondering, is there any other accessible pod feed software, that
would fix this problem?
getting some feeds, but not getting others, or do i just use the feed
software in internet explorer?
or do i just uninstall juice, and look for another pod castching software.
just checked downloaded, and no new pod casts, even like the blind - geek -
zone, no new feeds.
can you help?
starting to scratch my head!
a real strange one or am i just stupid, and not getting something?
Do not reply, retorical!
grin!
if any one can help out, let me know.
cheers Marvin.

Wireless headset, bluetooth or RF?

2008-10-02 Thread Lois Goodine

I'm thinking about buying a wireless stereo headset to work with the
computer as well as other devices. So it doesn't need to connect via a USB
port, but through the sound card, or to a headset jack on other devices. I
can't recall whether it is bluetooth or RF that is restricted to line of
sight to work well. Any recommendations will be appreciated.
Thank you.
Lois Goodine.

Re: Replay Converter & ripping DVDs to mp4 & more (Mosen)

2008-10-02 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I went to the Try It site for Replay converter at
http://www.replay-converter.com/replay-converter/demo.php, and it said:

Try Replay Converter before you buy! Download Replay Converter right
now, and use all the program features. This demo is fully functional,
except for a watermark added to videos, and audio conversions are
limited to 90 seconds. Version 3 will burn DVD's, has faster conversions
than version 2, and more.

You can still download version 2.8, but I don't think it's free. I think
it has a trial with the same kind of limitations. It did when I
downloaded it before 3.1 came out. Therefore, I don't think it's free,
but you can definitely try it out.

I can confirm that you can do this with Replay Converter 3.12 from
Applian Technologies. I am not sure if it is out to the public this
version. When the new Replay AV 8 is released it will include Replay 3
also.

The Replay Converter 3 interface is not quirky in my opinion. When you
land on "convert audio" button just arrow down 2 times and press your
spacebar then tab one time for the available options. Works very well
here. If you have any further questions please ask them

Re: Chicago Cubs BaseballRe: College sports via Internet radio?

2008-10-02 Thread Larry Naessens
Marcia, if you have XM, they broadcast the games with Pat and Ron describing
the action on the home games. If you have a station in your area that is an
ESPN affiliate most of them cover the playoffs. I'm not sure if ESPN.com
streams the games, but it's worth a look.

Is there anywhere I can find a broadcast of the Chicago Cubs Baseball
games? Thanks for your help. I don't want telecasts.

Yes, there are all sorts of restrictions related to MLB TV in the post
season including where one happens to be located at the timme of the
internet connection.
GGgameday auio isss live as always. That's where the confusion came
in as it only applies to mlb tv.

Hi.

I think that MLB TV blacks out the games until they're archived. Gameday
Audio doesn't.

I thought the rules on mlb.com said that the playoffs were blacked out until

the game becomes archived after it's over. I'm not sure though, but that
doesn't make much sense.
