Re: Older versions of WinAmp

For older versions of Winamp try the Winamp Heaven home page at
www.winampheaven.net/latest.php
They have versions of Winamp going right back to when Winamp was first
developed!

Yest! The milestone 311 offers up to ten folders that can be voice tagged.
Also has the ability to pause/resume recording.
I don't know of any unit that allows you to append to a file after the
original file has been recorded.
I think one would beed to start a new file then combine the two files if you
so wish.
Good luck and god Speed!

when you stop recording and start recording once again, the plextalk makes a
separate file within a daisy title . it will play as if the file is an
appended file but it isn't

Does anyone know of a small voice recorder that has folders capability and
also has the ability to append to a voice recording?

Re: mp3 players best for totally blind people

2009-02-21 Thread Steve Robertson
This may have been mementioned earlier, but I understand the Victor Stream
does a better job of reading the folder and individual file names as one
scrolls through them then the Plextalk?

nicely and from what i heard they are going to make the plextalk pocket

I do think the Plextor Pocket is going to turn out to be the best option
by
far for those wanting high quality pro level recording in stereo. the
only

thing you could want that it doesn't have is 24 bit epth recording which
would be good particularly for music.

I aught to go and look at the spec again, but does anyone actually know
if

the Pocket has a limiter?

Thanks,

Ray.

Re: Digitizing Tape without Hearing Sound

What I mean is I'm muting it in playback controls so I don't have to hear
it.

Why are you muting it?

But as I said, whenever I mute it, no sound goes into the recording.

that is the correct option. You still may wish to filter out hiss.

I tried muting Line IN in playback controls but it ended up not playing
the
sound through the recording. I can't find line-in in my recording
controls

in Goldwave. The only thing I can find which works is Analogue mix. I use
that because it doesn't pick up Window-Eyes.

I suspect you are using Windows xp or earlier. Go into the properties of
your sound card and choose play. In that dialog, you may find options
to

check or uncheck what channels play. Make sure line in is unchecked.
Also,
in the recording properties, make sure line in is checked, not anything
called What you Hear or Mixer.

I often digitize tapes using Goldwave, in both Xp and Vista, and never
hear
the tape playing, so the problem can be solved.

I am trying to digitize 4 cassette tapes. However, I have to sit and
listen
to it while this is happening. This is very annoying, especially if I'm
trying to get on with work. Is there a way to digitize the tape without
having to listen to it? I am using a Sound Blaster Audigy 2ZS, Goldwave
5.25
and the cassette machine is plugged into the line-in on my soundcard.
