Messages Getting Through?

2009-04-03 Thread Tom
There seems to be a problem with messages getting to the pc
audio list. I'm trying to figure out what might be going on.

Sound Forge question

2009-04-03 Thread Jerry Howell
I am using Soundforge and would like to edit sound files.

I seem to remember that there is a key stroke that will mark the beginning of a
passage, and another key stroke that will mark the end of the passage so you
can then cut, copy, or delete this passage. Does anyone know what these
commands are?

Thanks.

Re: Sound Forge question

2009-04-03 Thread Matthew Bullis
Yes, it's I for in, or the starting marker, and O for out, for the ending
marker. Also remember that if you use control shift K, you'll hear upto the
cursor position, so that it plays a bit before you've stopped, so you can
hear exactly where you are, and where you're about to mark in or out.. I've
found that it's a bit tricky to undo an in or out marker, because it gets
confused. If you know you've done it wrong, just hit delete, and then
control Z, to undo the delete. That will usually clear the wrong position.
Thanks a lot.

BBC iPlayer

2009-04-03 Thread Stephen Jolley
Since moving to IE8 I'm having less success with the BBC iPlayer. Radio Console.

Even with IE7 Clicking on 'listen live' from Five Live brings up the console
but no audio. It usually works if I close down Jaws.

But now with IE8, 'listen again' programs don't seem to play at all through the
player.

I've had similar experiences with Radio 4 and BBC 7.

Does anyone have any experience and tips to pass on?
