Ok. Probably the stupid question of the day or perhaps the week.

In WMP10, the CD option was on the files menu. I just upgraded to WMP11
and was going to burn a couple of files into an audio CD but now cannot
find the burn option.
Where is it? I do have the Classic Menues enabled if that makes a
difference and I am running xp Home and Window-Eyes 7.01.

2009-05-04 Thread David Bailes

Hi,

there's a jaws guide to wmp 11, and most of it is equally applicable to window
eyes:

http://vip.chowo.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/jaws/Windows-Media-Player-11-Guide.html

the revlevant sections are probably: introduction, main window, player taskbar,
and burn page,

David.

Sound Forge 8 Question

2009-05-04 Thread Larry Naessens
Hi. I'm editing audio for someone who prefers that the task be completed in
Sound Forge. I generally use GoldWave, so I'm trying to get a handle on how
things are done in Sound Forge. For one thing, in Goldwave, I can listen to a
file in fast forward at any speed I designate by pressing F6. If I understand
Sound Forge correctly I should be able to listen to a file in Fast forward mode
by pressing the letter F. But it isn't working for me. I stongly suspect that
operator error is at fault here, so can somebody please tell me how I can
listen to a file in fast forward mode in Sound Forge? I don't want to change
the file's speed. I just want to listen to it at a higher rate of speed.

Thanks in advance.

Nero

2009-05-04 Thread Gary Wood
Hi All. I'm compelled to try this again: I'm sorry for the repeat, but in my
house, I've looked all over for the disk of Nero 5.5 that I purchased, but I
can't seem to find it anywhere. Someone told me that it's illegal to give out
this information, but I thought I got this from someone on this list about a
couple of years ago, but I could be mistaken. I had inadvertently uninstalled
Nero 5.5, and when trying to install it again, of course it asks for my serial
number on the Nero disk, but I can't seem to find it. I would like to
reinstall it because I liked the program, but since I can't find the disk, I
can't put in the needed serial number. I hope this isn't illegal to provide
this information, but if anyone who still may be using 5.5, could you email
that serial number, so that maybe I can install this. I could get Nero 9, but
I'm not sure how accessible this version is. I have a copy of Premier CD
Creator, but that seems to be a bit harder to use, since I've been used to
working with Nero. Windows has CD burning built in, but I think that many have
said that it's better to use software that's especially designed for this
purpose. I'm sorry for rambling, and I hope that what I'm asking for is not
illegal, but could someone please help, if possible? Thanks for any anyone can
provide. How do others obtain copies of their favorite CD burning software?

Re: Sound Forge 8 Question

2009-05-04 Thread Joy Tilton
You want to press the letter L to fast forward in Sound forge. That will
speed the sound up. You can tap L several times to speed the sound up
further, depending upon how you have it set as far as speed is concerned in
the prefferences.

RE: Sound Forge 8 Question

2009-05-04 Thread Nolan Crabb
Larry:

Tap the letter L more than once instead of F, and you'll get the results you
want. Incidentally, if you ever need to listen to a file quickly in
reverse, you can tap J a couple of times to speed it up going backwards.
The letter K will stop your fast forward movement, and the cursor, if you
will, will be at that point where you stopped listening rather than at the
beginning of the file or somewhere else no longer relevant.

Nolan
