It is not hard, just open the file in goldwave, start playing, pause where you want to happen the first split, then press ctrl+Q, and start playing, pause again, and drop as many cues as you like this way, after you cued the entire file, from the edit menu, cue sub menu, select split file, there, select the folder you want the files in, then for the naming thing, see what you like, and in a box just before the first number, type 2 number signs, and then in the box for number, type 01 if you want your files as 01, 02 etc for numbering this way with the bas file name. Recently I downloaded a 10 hour mp3 book. I can speed it up in Windows Media Player but on using the Seek option or Fast Forward one I keep getting stuck on the increments Media player allows. I cannot seem just to fast forward to the place I stopped so I can restart. If I were to cut up the file, say in Gold Wave, is there an easy way of specifying the sections to break it into, then saving each into more manageable files for playback in WMP at the fast speed? RE: Splitting mp3 files
I'd add you have to have a queue at the beginning of the file or it won't include that part. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Jitendra Sent: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 7:41 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Splitting mp3 files Katherine Moss wrote: I'll say that is a very hard thing to do in goldWave, but it is possible it you read up on it and figure it out that way. RE: extracting audio from MPG files.
Switch from http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html. It has a free version which will extract audio from MPG's. There's also a Switch Plus which is a paid upgrade, but the free version of Switch has always done everything I've needed it to do. -- Christopher chalt...@gmail.com -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Mario Percinic Sent: Wednesday, July 29, 2009 3:03 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: extracting audio from MPG files. Mp3 tag editor needed
Hello friends, I need an mp3 tag editor, which should be able to edit the tags like goldwave, in goldwave, for track number, we type 2 number signs, and it then asigns numbers automaticly, other information such artist, album, comments and other things can be typed directly, but only once, and then it processes all files in a batch, I want a simple software for this, as goldwave make these files bigger than the originals. Note: I don't want a software that can rename files bassed on tags, or can create tags bassed on file names, but a tag editor for thousands of files. and it should be able to assign the track numbers and other info automaticly as we tell it to do.
