How to play avi files

2009-08-05 Thread Adrien Collins
Hi

I have been given some avi films, is there any way I can
convert them into dvd's to play on my tv? What software
would I need? Will they play on the dvd player on my tv if I
just burn them to dvd?

Regards

Adrien

RE: Problem

2009-08-05 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I'm not familiar with VRsoft reader, but the Real Speak Voices that you can
download to work with JFW 10 will only work with Freedom Scientific
products. You can't use them with NVDA for example. You can use the Real
Speak Voices that came with your JFW 8 CD though. Like I said, I'm not
familiar with the application you're talking about, so I'm not sure if this
is the problem you're seeing or not.

Subject: Problem

Hi Friends,

I have a problem. I have installed all the Realspeak Solo voices on my
laptop and I am able to use them but they are not recognized by the SAPI5
synthesizer. This is necessary as I want to use them with VRsoft reader.
How do I get them recognized by SAPI5? Please help. Thank you.

Yahoo Messenger and echoing and typing sounds

2009-08-05 Thread JardataMailServices
Hello there!

How can I get Yahoo Messenger (the latest version) to act like Skype and
Windows Messenger/Live Messenger when it comes to automatic reading of input
and output messages. When I type, I can push the send button, but no feedback.
Plus, when my contact chats with me, I have to arrow through their message to
hear it. Plus, I don't hear it when they type to me like in Live messenger or
skype. What am I missing? If anyone knows, tell me how to do it if it is
possible.

I'll tell you that it's probably just FS goofing up again (as they always
seem to do). Your best bet from someone like me who doesn't use yahoo
messenger is for you to look at the JAWS 10 help menu and see if there's
anything in there about that topic.

Hope this helps,
Katherine

Hi Katherine,

Regarding your answer to James question I'm curious how you know he's
using JAWS (smile). He might be but in his message he doesn't mention a
screen reader so he could be using Hal, NVDA, Window-Eyes, System Access
or JAWS! Katherine, I'm not criticizing you in particular but I have
noticed that for some strange reason JAWS users in particular often seem
to automatically assume that everyone is using JAWS.

Regards Steve.

I'll have to say oops. I honestly don't know why I assumed that. I guess
I was just thinking of my daily use of the computer and how many of the
people I talk to have JAWS and how very few have any other software.

Sorry about that,
Katherine
