Keith,

I don't need help with Field Pass, but I would like to know a bit more about
System Access. I have a friend who is not as tech smart as a lot of folks
and has been asking me to see if I can find out anything about the screen
reader.

I went to the Web site and can only get a link to a trial download of the
software. That is not really what I need. What I'm looking for is
something on how well it functions, how much technical expertise is needed
to run it and of course, how much it costs for the full version.

If you could give me a hand, or if anyone out there can, I would appreciate
it.

Yahoo and speech

2009-08-16 Thread JardataMailServices
Hello List!

How can I get the latest Yahoo to act like Windows Live Messenger (MSN). I
installed the new Yahoo to replace the old version. Now, when I type and press
enter, my words are not automatically spoken. Likewise, when my chat friends
respond to me, I do not get any fedback from JAWS. I must scroll through the
text to know what is there. This was automatic before and it still is in
Windows Live zMessenger and Skype. Has something changed about Yahoo 9 to make
this different or do I have to check some boxes or something to get speech
back?

Thanksfor your help.

RE: The new NFL Field Pass

2009-08-16 Thread Kelly Ford
This isn't a screen reader issue and system access has the same challenges.
This is the way the flash has been created.

For the person asking about pre-season games, my understanding is you have
to pay $25 for the archives now once the game is over.

There also doesn't seem to be the 7 day trial period that there's been in
the past. I always took advantage of this 7 day free trial to ensure
everything was accessible. This year, I had to take it on faith, and
unfortunately I was disappointed. I don't plan on asking for my money back,
but I did follow the contact link and opened up a ticket with NFL Field

RE: The new NFL Field Pass

2009-08-16 Thread Christopher Chaltain
The way I get to the games is to go to the nfl.com web site and then click
on the Scores link. There will be a Listen link for any games in progress or
in the future. For example, if you go there now, you'll see Listen links for
the two Monday night games, but of course they won't do anything yet!

BTW, I also noticed that you now have to buy a separate package to get the
archives of games that have already finished. I don't have 100% recall, but
I believe I could listen to archived games in the past, at least for the
current season.

select WMP or Real, and I've been able to use the Winamp with the WMP
stream. This allowed me to control the player and do things like pause the
broadcast, lower the volume and so on. None of this seems possible in the
new player. Note that you can still navigate through the web pages to find
the stream you want to listen to, i.e. the Dolphins broadcast of the Monday
night preseason game between the Dolphins and the Jaguars. It's just that
once you've selected the appropriate stream, you're now stuck in an
inaccessible media player.

Pass.

I'm just letting everyone know my experience and wondering if anyone has
gotten around this limitation yet.

I just signed up for a new season of the NFL's Field Pass. This subscription
allows you to listen to all of the radio broadcasts via the internet of the
upcoming NFL season (depending on the package you purchase). I noticed a
couple of changes this season.

First, it looks like it's now using an embedded flash based player, which is
totally inaccessible. I don't see anything in the browser window at all, but
I am able to listen to the broadcast. In years past, you've been able to
select WMP or Real, and I've been able to use the Winamp with the WMP
stream. This allowed me to control the player and do things like pause the
broadcast, lower the volume and so on. None of this seems possible in the

Hi Christopher,

Thanks for trying anyway. I feel a bit like you a bit reluctant to
install iTunes just because of one podcast I want to download but I
suspect with the increasing popularity of iTunes we might all be forced
to do this eventually.

Hi Christopher,

I was wondering if you could please have a look at the podcast I mentioned
to see if your trick will work to subscribe to this podcast with podcatchers
other than iTunes. The podcast I'm talking about can be found at
www.bridgechurch.com.au and the link to subscribe to the podcast can be
found near the bottom of the home page. I hope this helps. Thank you.

To center sound, press ALT+CTRL+K,
To pan 50% right, press ALT+CTRL+L,
To pan 100% right, press ALT+CTRL+SEMI COLON" . I think you may want to
have a file running, to be able to hear the desired effect!

That was all I could find!

good accessible burning program

2009-08-16 Thread dan thompson
Hi, I use roxio 6 most of the time. However, copying/pasting into my
dvd/cdr and then using cd writing wizard under the file menu of that drive
works just as good. This opens windows media player and you just tab to
copy and press the space bar.

Re: Question about Subscribing to a Podcast

2009-08-16 Thread Steve Pattison
Hi Christopher,

I was wondering if you could please have a look at the podcast I
mentioned to see if your trick will work to subscribe to this podcast
with podcatchers other than iTunes. The podcast I'm talking about can
be found at www.bridgechurch.com.au and the link to subscribe to the
podcast can be found near the bottom of the home page. I hope this
helps. Thank you.

Regards Steve.

Got IT! Re: Looking for one special site?

2009-08-16 Thread tickpub
You got it, that is great and I thank all of you. And this inquiry did
have some audio needs, but needed the site in order to find the various
audio and key programs needed.

Hey, you folks are great and thank you all!
